i lik this type of padlock ,at first,my first was the long shackle type, great for our scottish winters out of all the different type of padlocks i have this 1 did not freeze up i lock my container with the padlock upside down with cap at the top it stops water from going inside padlock.5*for long shackle type.buthese normal shackl type seem to sieze up internally even through summer months an key wont turn or if heavey handed will break the thin key which comes with item ,so you need to put oil in key port and locking mechanism every 2 months - so its a 4*from me good product otherwse

I've just moved house and inherited a garden shed, unfortunately there was no padlock to keep it secure.I needed a padlock that was strong and secure but will also stand up to the rigours of being used outside in all weathers.I had a look for a suitable one and came across this this padlock, it was a reasonable price and looked pretty sturdy so i got it ordered.The lock turned up next day (Prime) and was exactly what i wanted, Feels strong and robust, locks and unlocks cleanly and looks completely waterproof, it even has a cover on the bottom to protect the key hole!Very pleased with my purchase and would definitely recommend to my friends and family.

The product looks robust , rubberised and with a cap that fits over the keyhole. It looked good but failed in just a few months. The brass padlock it replaced lasted a lot longer. It's not just me that could not open the thing - two others attempted and failed. One of the keys just twisted out of shape - it was almost as if it were made of tin ( it was so flimsy). Another day I returned for a second attempt before resorting to bolt cutters. Eventually I was able to drain rainwater from the lock and with the application of WD40 managed to get it open. The movement even after copious lubrication is very scratchy and cannot to be trusted.

Not bad as a lock, it's pretty study, etc. The problem is, it's not very waterproof! After a couple of weeks, it has started to seize up and become difficult to operate. You can even see water marks in the lock where it's worked its way down from the top.I've now given it a dose of GT85 to try and keep the water out and free everything up, but I fear that this will only be a short-term fix. The non-waterproof locks I use elsewhere are better.

This is a very cheap padlock and so I wasn't expecting much and I wasn't surprised.The locking mechanism is a bit stiff and I don't think this padlock is waterproof, however time will tell.

its ok but this lock when rusty quick even tho it says it is waterproof. But the lock its self was good if it didn't go rusty

This gadget must be one of the beefiest padlocks we've ever bought. It is so solid. Three keys with two spare. Made to take whatever mom nature throws at it. I wonder if even a blow torch could bust it?? We use it for outside large storage bench. No worries about that being dislodged I reckon. Good value for money to boot. Waterproofed to the hilt. I think I can say this bad boy's around to protect and serve for a good long while. Highly recommend.

DOES NOT FIT KETER STORE IT OUT even though its recommended with it on Amazon. Lock is good quality though.
