A modern version?
I purchased this to replace a similar type that I purchased about 20 years ago. The originals were metal with a smaller glass section but still adequate. The original version was looking worn but still worked well. The new one is well made and heavier than the metal version - that is a good thing as the lid just lays on the rim. Both types initially misted over but cleared after a short while. It did surprise me that the metal version cleared quicker and it did not have an air vent. Don't be put off by this because this is an excellent idea

Just what i needed , a couple of decent pans had no lids due to clumsy hubby , so these are great do several pans, as stated on website work as good if not better than lids that are with your pans when you buy them , now my sister want one as well , quick delivery no issues

Unique design and very practical - It's a "Must Have".
This lid works well in many different situations. It makes a much better seal than regular glass or metal lids with top of the pot or pan - thus it stops much of the spluttering that makes a mess on the top of your stove. There will be some mess but definitely not as much as I've seen before with other lids. This lid is now my favourite lid of preference. It's a "Must Have".HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! AAA+++

If you use it to cover the largest size pot loose stiffness.

Effective and versatile
Bought this to replace a broken pot lid as even lids from the same manufacturer did not fit. This fits well and also works on smaller pots I had no lid for. I am tempted to get bigger ones and replace the various lids which are always a pain to store.

Great universal lid
I ordered two of these lids - one small and one big. Both fit perfectly the pots that we had to previously leave lidless due to weird sizing. Couldn't be happier with it. The cleaning and maintenance of the silicone ring can be a bit fiddly (hot food sticks to the silicone really stubbornly), but once you figure it out, it's not that bad. Would recommend!

This is my preferred lid, love it
When you have pans on the go you can never find the right lid, now I can. Even when you get a pan with no lid this one will fit. Even used it on a frying pan to sweat spinach down. One lid fits all my pans
