Fun learning activity
This is a great (but most importantly, fun) way for my preschooler to learn his numbers.

Class favorite
Today was day three of using this set.My class of preK really like playing with it.It’s nicely designed. Love having two houses. Enough walls and roof pieces.Only drawback is if they hammer too hard. The “nails” can be tough to get out.Not sure if the design of the hammer could have been better designed to help removing the nails. A little teacher help is needed at times.This really held the classes attention.Would recommend the setThe last drawback might have been more from who shipped it. My box came as is. Not in the Amazon box or bag. Basically just stuck a label on the box. Which now has a sticky spot.

Great for physical learning
Our 3 year old grandson is definitely a physical learner. He is most interested in learning how things work and he loves to use tools and be involved in every project. He is less interested in sitting down to do workbook style preschool learning, so a learning activity that involves pegs and a hammer is just right for his style of learning. The drawbacks of this activity set are that when pounded multiple times, the pegs are difficult for a child to remove, often resulting in a peg being shot across the room and that the cards for the sides cannot be held in place until at least one peg is placed or the little "house" is placed on its side. All in all, a good learning activity.

Child Needs to Recognize Numerals
My son who just turned 4 has been playing this a few times with his older sisters (age 9 & 7). I sat down with him today to play it.The biggest problem we ran into is that you need to be able to know that "7" is the number seven. For example, if you count the number of puppies on the front, you then need to nail in a nail with "7" on the head. The nails are also circular, so the number part doesn't always face upright. This won't be an issue for much longer for us (hopefully), but it did add some frustration. I ended up writing down the numbers in order on a piece of paper so we could then count to figure out which one was "7" when we were looking for seven. Hopefully he can start making these connections soon.He loved the hammer/nail aspect of it and loves to count, so he had a lot of fun, though at this point we will just play for short periods of time.
