Are these better than Luxardo? No, not really. But considering the price of those cherries escalates periodically, these cherries are a perfect substitute. Yes, they are a bit sweet but I don't eat them in anything other than bourbon drinks - and as the final touch. They last a lot longer and are well worth the price.

These work well for old fashioneds and likely other cocktails. They're packed in a thick dark syrup, and quite sweet but still have a bit of tang.Compared to sayTraverse City, they have the same texture but are sweeter, and the syrup is slightly thinner.

Taste is subjective, and it’s okay. Just not that palate pleasing for me. It has a very sweet and strong flavor that’s a tad overwhelming, but it may be pleasing to others.

Honestly these are pretty premium cherries but the big gripe I had with them is the syrup itself is a bit TOO strong n regards to the taste. I added these into an icecream sundae and the syrup just overpowered it. When just using the cherries themselves it creates a good balance but the syrup was a bit much as it's kind of overly sweet.I did find that mixing these in with a bunch of other stuff even with the syrup they weren't too shabby such as in a smoothie or a shake, but by itself or in things like sundaes it was just too much for me unless I grabbed just the cherries themselves.The short answer is the cherries are great and although sweet, not too overbearing but if some of the syrup comes with it in my opinion ruins the whole taste of whatever I was making as it's just too overly much sweetness. In the end when I used them in moderation it wasn't too bad, just had to be careful how much syrup came with it.

These cherries are so delicious that I will use them in all sorts of ways... in Old-fashioned Cocktails, as a plain yoghurt topping and added to my oatmeal.

The media could not be loaded. Broken before I got it, now I have to clean up cherry juice all over my white carpet. Not able to request a refund anywhere, do not buy and ship.

These cherries arrived today. I truely do not know what happened to this food item before it got here, but the result is that I cannot risk eating the cherries for fear that a seal breach/leak ocurred, resulting in food contamination.I have no clue how this happened. I can only promise I did not drop it at any time before examining the jar. But when I touched the jar to open it, I just so happened to also touch a small spot of red syrup like goo. This is why I currently believe there was a breach or seal leak. I gave this review 3 stars in an attempt to be fair, since there is no way for me to know what really happened.
