I had originally purchased this product when it first came out, when my father was first diagnosed, I bought it for him. When we lost him, there was info in there we hadn’t discussed. It was and is very valuable to me and my sister. I asked my sister to take a pix of the cover, so I could buy this book for a friend. She loves this book, so she could write the things that are hard for her to talk to her kids about. This book is worth more than the few dollars it costs.** repeat purchase: 3 x ***

I glanced over this book when I received it and gave it to my son so both he and I can get my mother's information. He is better i things like that than I am. I get too emotional about everything. My mother is 91 your good health and I guess it's about time we start planning ahead. From what I have seen this looks like a good book to get all our information

This is the most incredible book! It helps one to prepare to leave this world. In a time of greiving, family and friends wont want to wonder what your wishes are ~ they will know! The book contains everything from where you hid those "special" papers to the words you would like spoken at your final service... OR even if you want a service. It has lots of room for you to fill out your thoughts and wishes to your family and friends. There is a section that allows you to express your hopes and dreams for your children. One of the most moving things in the book was: "IF you were told you had thirty minutes to live, who would you call and what would you say?" It makes you think about the things in life that go unsaid. It helps to make closure easier. I gave this book to my friends for the holidays. It made sound a bit odd, but after reading the wonderful quotes, the ease of filling in the blanks and knowing that you are making your "leaving" easier ~ it was a much appreciated gift. Don't hesitate to get your life in order... the clock is ticking. :-) Thank you Lynn for a WONDERFUL insightful book!

This is something everyone needs! It covers all the questions you have and many you hadn't thought aboutAlso a great gift idea!

I have been browsing several books similar to this one that have suggestions for putting your estate in order. For my purposes, this one hit just the basics, covering the kinds of organizing I already have begun to do. Also, there were many blank forms included for working right in the book, but I found the binding too stiff to be able to do that without cracking the seams. To me, "workbook" coincides with having a spiral binding, to be really useful.I have returned this, and purchased instead, Living Legacies: How to Write, Illustrate, and Share Your Life Stories, by Duane Elgin and Coleen LeDrew instead, as this is more my present focus.

This is a workbook to write down all your important information for loved ones in one place. I especially liked the author's idea of leaving a letter for each of your children detailing what you remember from when you found out the child would be born, about the day the child was born, the things that made you smile when you look back, what you want the child to know for all time, and the hopes and dreams you have for that child. There were other sections of the book most people would not think of ahead of time, for example, telling specific people "thank you" for their help during crucial times in your life, etc. All in all, well worth the money and time. This is not a book you sit down and read, there is nothing to read. It is all worksheets to fill out to put your affairs (emotional, financial, legal, etc.) in order.

I purchased for my mother-in-law who already had one but needed another since so many life changes have occurred since she originally purchased. She told me she wouldn't be able to properly record her last wishes and keep everything in order without this book. You are able to detail everything regarding who gets what, where items are located, will & lawyer info, burial & memorial details, you can create your epitaph & any last words you would like stated, living will details, and much more. After reviewing it myself, my husband and I are purchasing one for ourselves. I believe this book should be a necessity for anyone that wants to make all of the plans ahead of time instead of leaving it your family afterwards. This will take a lot of the burden away from them since it is all documented in your writing, alleviating the stress of your death, and making it easier for them to mourn.

Several years ago my mom told me if anything happened to her everything I would need would be in her underwear drawer. When she passed away 3 weeks ago I can't begin to describe how much of a relief it was to find this book amoung the important documents and what a blessing it was that she filled the majority of it out so that we knew exactly what needed to be done and who needed to be called for everything. If you do nothing else for your loved ones please get this book and update it anually as my mother did.
