This is perfect for hanging your christmas wreath or anything else you can think of. The hook is plastic and stays in place by suction, making it very easy to use and move WITHOUT any mess or fuss. If you find that severe frost has made the suction cup fall off your door then stick it to the inside of your door upside down and tie string from it over your door to your wreath. This method without fail will hold up your wreath. There will possibly be stronger suction cups out there, but we havent seen one yet!!! The powerful suction is produces by the lever action of the hook itself and once on, will require a serious bit of strength to pull it off. These hooks are also great for holidays for hanging up beach towels etc in your hotel or apartment. Available in multi-packs in our store. Please note: This item is designed for use on very smooth surfaces such as glass, glazed tiles or pvc/plastic etc. Other surfaces such as wood or walls will not work as the cup cannot retain suction on uneven surfaces.

Just use a little gel around the edges and you will find the hook stays up fine. The gel I have used is not watwerproof ...
Our front door is not totally flat - it has a raised wood grain effect in it. This means the hook will not stick to for more than 10 seconds BUT there is a very simple solution to this problem. Just use a little gel around the edges and you will find the hook stays up fine. The gel I have used is not watwerproof so it may come down in the rain but if it does I have already decided I will use vaseline next time. Hope this is helpful.Review UPDATE - The hook is cream in colour and our front door is red so it looks odd. We decided therefore to fit the hook upside down on the inside of the door and hang the wreath on a red ribbon which goes over the top of the door and ties to the hook.This works brilliantly. But importantly, when I came to remove the hook from the front door, it was well and truly stuck on - it wouldn't have come off in any sort of weather. So the GEL IS AN EXCELLENT SOLUTION. But for the colour I would give the hook 5 stars.

Won't stay up.... I didn't even ...
Won't stay up.... I didn't even have time to hang the wreath before the hook fell off. I tried a dozen times and not once did it stick long enough to hang the wreath, I guess you get what you pay for! Not even worth sending back at that price.

Waste of time and money
this arrived promptly and in good condition,but........did not stick to glass in my front door;so after my beautiful wreath had smashed to the path several times - I used a little super glue,even this only lasted a couple of hours,when once again the hook and wreath had smashed onto the door step.I would NOT recommend anyone to purchase this hook suction cap.It has no suction whatsoever.

Was looking for one last Christmas, now I'm that Ive got one. It's very sturdy lovely big suction cup, when hanging a Christmas wreath up outside you only see a little bit of the arm, has many uses. Will last for many years, well worth the money!

Not for me
It's rather bulky, maybe just not suitable for hanging a Christmas Wreath on my brown front door as the hook is cream. Does seem sturdy though.

Great product and does what it says. Its very strong I live in Scotland and and its been crazy windy here and every morning I'm surprised my Xmas wreath is still on my door lol
