Brutal
This was one of those reads that once you started you couldn't put down. The storyline was brilliant and as you read along you envisioned it all happening. High school, secondary school depending on where you live is hard for most kids unless you are one of the lucky ones. But the raging hormones and stress of fitting in can be too much for some. This book shows how a popular beautiful cheerleader goes to the most brutal, grotesque and violent measures to appease her reality, which is slowly fading. The calculated manipulation and hatred of others behind closed doors is fascinating. She is a fantastic character and her extreme ways holds no bounds. Watching people suffer is her relief and boy is she violent. A great read and definitely one to read. I recommend to anyone who loves the more extreme violent story. But not for those whom are easily offended.

Worth a read if you like serial killer lore
I liked this book, I read it in 2 days actually. Its paced well and is great if you want a quick horror fix. I appreciate the references to films and serial killers in the book as the main character gets more and more into her sadist fantasy's.

Shockingly nasty!
Full Brutal is one of those books you'll never forget.I literally couldn't put this down, Kim draws you into her world, her mind, her madness. The story is gripping and depraved as Kim descends into bloody chaos at others expense...because she's bored.Devilishly clever this book doesn't hold back with the shocks and punches. Just when you think Kim can't get any worse, she proves you wrong, in the most disturbing ways possible.Highly recommend.

Better than the standard extreme horror
I originally went to pass up on this book because it wasn't on kindle unlimited but the opening drew me in and it wasn't stupidly expensive so I gave it a whirl. LOVED IT!!!!

terrible
i have a rule where i finish every book i start and i nearly broke that rule with this bookwhere to start with this, out of the 200+ books i have read this year this is without a doubt in my bottom 3it is terrible poorly written and not even very shocking, i dont know how it won any awards ive seriously read books that advertise themselves as thrillers/dramas more 'shocking then this'Prosthe side characters are slightly relatable and written ok i supposeconseverything else the chapters and paragraphs that are meant to disgust the reader are so awkwardly written and placed at one point i literally laughed out loud while readingthe story is just boring there is nothing that really stays with you nothing that wants you to keep reading its just a very poorly written book

Horror for teens
Full Brutal is the sort of novel that I would probably have loved when I was fifteen. Sadly, for me and this review, that was 40 years ago. I have read a lot of horror in those 40 years, from top notch stuff through mediocre and all the way to garbage. Despite its explicit content, Full Brutal felt to me like it was written for the younger market. The crux of the tale is that the main character, teenage cheerleader Kim, is bored and decides to lose her virginity which leads to a ridiculous chain of events that soon become quite tedious. The writing is competent enough and moved along at a good pace once it eventually got going, but there was little or no characterisation or depth. For those wanting an undemanding and quick dose of gore, this lack probably won't be an issue. I'm not averse to explicit horror, I love Jack Ketchum's novels, but I prefer a bit more substance. As the 2 star rating says, it was okay.

There’s no time to waste now, I thought. She’s coming home. You need to go full brutal.
“People speak sometimes about the ‘bestial’ cruelty of man, but that is terribly unjust and offensive to beasts; no animal could ever be so cruel as a man, so artfully, so artistically cruel.” — Fyodor DostoyevskyFull Brutal by Triana is exactly that-Full Brutal. This book temporarily took over my life from the moment I picked it up. I equally loved and hated Kim White.Triana writes beautifully, it isn't a book that is all about gore, it's also well crafted and the story flows well. The more I read, the more unhinged the story became. This girl knows no limits when it comes to making her fellow man suffer. The book goes from psychological torture to something else entirely. Yet, I could not look away.Around the 60% mark the book went to a new level of depravity just sinking its claws ito me further. I was obsessed and tingling with anticipation at what happens next. The ending was off the rails and pure chaos. It couldn't be more perfect.

An all consuming, bloody ride into a cunning, manipulative, deranged mind!
Wow! I'm thrilled to have found this author. I will definitely be reading more Triana.Full Brutal was definitely my jam!As we descend into the life of a perfect grade A student and head cheerleader, we get the absolute opposite of what is shown on the surface.Kim seems perfect. She is perfect. She says and does all the right things. According to her father, her teachers, and her friends. But, as we follow her life through her own eyes, with the privilege of reading her thoughts, her cunning, manipulative behavior comes out. Followed by her dark, lustful, bloody desires. The further we go into her mind and down her dark, murder riddled path, we, as the reader, are shocked, yet fall in love with her more and more. The icing on the cake, for me, was how intelligent she was. I especially enjoyed all the meticulous research she did on serial killers to help her understand and follow her own desires and instincts.Kim has to be one of my favorite main characters of all time.I can't wait to read more work by this author.

Good but a little difficult to believe
The story was good and a little hard to read sometimes (due to how brutal the content was). But my biggest grip would probably be how much the main character was able to get away with. Other than that it was terrifying to read this and put yourself in this persons world. I would recommend to those with strong stomachs.
