R2 Target Feeder for Fish

Great product. I have 9 kuhli loaches and 3 albino cory catfishes. The kuhli just do not eat fast enough to compete with cory cats. I built a small dome using acrylic cup up side down by drilling holes that are big enough for kuhli, but not for cory cats. On the top, I also drill a hole that is big enough to let the target feeder go through to drop food. It works great. Now, the kuhli enjoy food by themselves with no competition. The only complain is that it is not cheap.

I use this to spot feed mysis shrimp to my Diamond Goby and a couple of corals. Overall I like it a lot - it does the job and the Goby has learned to recognize it. What I don't like about it is it gets water in the barrel and it takes a few minutes to shake it out. Not a serious problem, but annoying when I'm in a hurry and water gets on the floor. But I'm pleased because my Goby is nice and fat, and that's what matters. It target feeds well.

There is no way you could fit a mysis in that tube

Japanese fire newts (now hard to find, they are generally Chinese now) is Very long lived, he may outlive me since I am in my sixties. My African cichlids don't bother him too much, but they hog the food and he is not agile or sighted. This target feeder replaces my effective but awkward home made feeding stick. I can put a chunk of tubifex on the feeder and release it as soon as he strikes. My newt is fat and happy.

I don't know how but my original one got misplaced. I think its kind of expensive, but works so well and is so necessary in my deep tank, I can't do without it!

I use this to feed the dragon goby it makes it so much easier to get food to him. It works great with thawed blood worms and dry fish food pellets

The Target Feeder is great! I think more Aquarium Stores should have this in inventory. It allows me to feed some of my more shy fish easily without overfeeding the tank. I would recommend this to everyone.

Works great to feed our eel and anemones.
