This activity kit contains 60 sturdy cardstock circles (similar to paper plates but without the fluting), enough for 3 soccer balls. Once 20 circles are folded into the modular component, and combined with either tape or glue, you have an icosadodecahedron (soccer ball). The illustrated booklet shows how the circles can be combined or re-formed into other creative structures. Inspired by Buckminster Fuller's circle-folding, this Wholemovement kit is an introduction to a complete system of geometric paperfolding. Made in the USA. For ages 7+ .

My 8 year old says it's REALLY hard, and he LOVES folding paper
I still have hope for this. He REALLY wanted this for Christmas after he saw it a MOMA. I'm not sure how much effort he's put into it, but this kid normally folds everything from scrap paper, note paper by the phone, and paper napkins at the dinner table (much to my dismay)all day long. I usually don't have any scrap paper and up to 30 paper airplanes or origami items in a single room. He said this was REALLY hard. I'm guessing it is either, 1. seems like a big an overwhelming project as opposed to an instant gratification paper airplane. or 2. His grandparents gave him an Ipad mini for Christmas and that takes up a lot of his attention these days.
