NOT BAD .

I added a Tsp of the shrimp paste to my home made fermented kimchi, I made the kimchi as I always make it, the only difference was the addition of 1/2 to 1 tsps of this paste, I had a very small serving & it made me really sick! I felt nauseous right after I ate it & later on I had a sharp pain in between my shoulder blades, closer to my right shoulder blade,and the nausea continued. I felt like throwing up & even though I took some probiotics I did not feel better. It took over 24 hrs for me to feel better. I waited a week before trying it again,Today, I dipped my fork in the kimchi & tasted a tiny speck of fermented veggie. I felt the same way as before, nauseous, shortly afterwards., I took 2 probiotics. I am waiting to see if the pain in between my shoulder blades appear again.Dissapointed!!! I eat a o rmented foods, this is not m6 first foray into fermented foods. I do not recommend it & will probably will not buy it again. Be careful if you decide o buy this product.

Received item quickly from seller; a very strong fragrance thru the package; but the size of the item was very small; very small for the amount of money.

This is quality Thai shrimp paste. It is the least funky smelling/tasting brand I have tried in the US. If you heat it first inside aluminum foil or a banana leaf in a skillet on the stove, it will make a great Nam Prik Kapi!

I bought this shrimp paste for use mainly in Kimchi, but it is a must for other Asian recipes as well. Some nut complained about the smell, clearly he/she had never used this product before. Warning to the uninitiated - don't smell it! The odor does not reflect the wonderful salty, umami flavor this will impart in your dishes - that fishy smell completely disappears (just like using fish sauce). The product arrived very quickly and there were no issues with the packaging. I will definitely be buying again, thank you.

I'll definitely use this supplier again. The product arrived weeks earlier than promised (it is coming from Thailand, after all). Based on the "Use by" date on the package, it is extremely fresh. I'm very happy and I hope my stir fry will be happier. Oh, yeah, my wife loved the Int'l stamps all over the package, she actually saved it.
