Best I've tried.
I have tried a lot of strings over the years and Rotosound are not just the best, they are BY FAR the best. The last longer than any other brand I've tried, they are louder but remain clear, they are smooth and remain smooth for a long time, they clean up well so last even longer and I have never actually broken a Rotosound string, ever. Recently tried Ernie Ball to try and save a few pennies but was massively disappointed. I'm sticking with Rotosound now and forever and won't even look at another brand. Even their nickel strings will outlast Ernie Ball stainless steels. In my experience, Rotosound are the best string manufacturer, hands down.

Tone deaf? Try these...
I wanted to try any guitar strings that weren't Ernie Ball or D'addario - and the Rotosounds fitted the bill. Even better, they are British.I fitted them to brighten the tones of two dark voiced, 16k ohm humbuckers on a partscaster project (high DC resistance is great if you crank up the amp gain but not so much if a clear, clean tone is wanted). The tonal differences between steel strings and the usual nickel is not huge but the former gave a little extra edge to the clean sounds I wanted.Don't be concerned by the lack of shine on the steel strings - they tend to look a bit dull (no nickel). If extra top end is what you're after, give these Rotosounds a try.

Bryan Adams was full it it!
On a whim I bought my very first guitar four months ago. I have loved it from the moment it arrived, and I've played A LOT. And the problem started the very first night... I went to do the washing up, and when my fretting hand hit the hot water, I was in agony. For weeks, I chalked the rawness and pain, the blisters, the cracked skin, etc. to normal breaking in, developing callouses. After all, didn't Bryan Adams play his guitar 'til his fingers bled? But my husband's finger tips weren't doing the same thing. He could still chop tomatoes without the acid causing burning pain in his fingers. His skin was still intact. And he was playing just as much as I was... maybe more.So I researched. Nickel allergy. Of course. I can't wear cheap jewelry. I have to paint metal buckles and buttons and snap with clear nail polish. I used to react to the embroidery needle when I did crossstitch as a kid. And now I have to buy nickel-free strings for my guitar.Thank goodness for these, though! Not only are they allowing me to play for hours at a time without causing blisters, but they also feel nice, too. Bends are easier, and yet the strings go right back where they belong without affecting tuning. I can't quite explain how or why they feel so much more playable than the other strings I've tried, but I love these strings. Take it from this brand-new guitarist, if you have nickel allergy, or you just like epic bends, these are the strings for you.

CLANG! Love these clangy devils.
I have nickel allergy, so switched to SS and never looked back. They last really well, and have added CLANG which I'm a big fan of.
