Straddles the line between toy and hobby-grade
3 stars for the car, and another star removed due to the fact one of the batteries was dead-on-arrival. Overall this is a very fun buggy, but don't expect a full hobby grade RC or you will be disappointed.Pros:- It's FAST in stock form.- It jumps fairly flat and is decently balanced.- Its good value given the price and performance/features.Cons:- The durability of some components can't keep up with the power and speed.- Bent 3 out of 4 dog bones on the first battery.- 1 of the 2 batteries was DOA.- The shocks are fluid filled, but they might as well not be based on how bouncy it is.- The diffs barely had any grease in them, and the drivetrain was very loud out of the box.- Everything in this car gets quite hot after use. The battery, the ESC, the motor, and the chassis.

Worth the money.. kinda
Thing was great out of the box until the second battery pack was ready to run and the ESC would not work the car would not go forward or backward it would only turn and then I smelled the smell of burnt electronics telling me the ESC had burnt up also within that first battery pack the front differential came apart due to lack of grease in the differential case customer service is great though they are sending the parts for free so I give them five stars

Some quality issues
The media could not be loaded. Lots of good, lots of bad. Let's start with the good. It's quick. The remote has an adjustable throttle end point so you can set it to slower for more inexperienced drivers and super fast for those with a better handle on driving. It has a nice big 550 motor for plenty of power. It has a great remote range of approx 1,000 feet. The tires are a nice balance of grip and slip. The shocks are nice oil coil overs. It looks pretty good and has lot of metal bits. The bad: The bottom plate is made of soft copper. Most of the suspension parts are made of soft plastic that warps and bends very easily. The control arms continually pull apart when driving causing the dog bones to go flying. The dog bones are all very soft metal and are bent. The remote came with the cover free floating in the package. The gear boxes are bone dry with no grease whatsoever so there are also metal flakes floating around inside. The oil in the shocks is very thin which causes the buggy to be somewhat unpredictable through jumps. It tends to bury the nose on jumps. All the wheels wobble excessively. All in all it has potential to be great but it will require a complete disassembly with glue on all control rods, upgraded dog bones, and stronger materials throughout. Expect to do lots of repairs with this buggy.

This is blurring the lines between toy and hobby grade car
Update: Less than 10 batteries through this car and the ESC caught fire and melted. Had I not caught it fast enough and disconnected the battery, it probably would have spread to the LiPo and caused an even bigger fire.So much to like about this car. First off, all the linkages are adjustable, and easy to adjust at that. It comes with 2 true LiPo batteries, not LIon. The motor has plenty of power and it's FAST! I have a hobby grade truck that this car can run circles around. My little Corgi can't keep up with it. It has no issue navigating my lawn, even if I'm a week behind mowing. The full metal plate bottom makes it tough. Now, what keeps it from being hobby grade? Well, mostly the controller. It's big enough for an adults hand, but it definitely feels more toy-like. The shocks could do a better job at damping movement. The included USB charger is slow and doesn't come with a power block. You'll want to use a block that can supply up to 3A to cut down on charging time. These batteries can be charged on a hobby charger and I would suggest you do that if available. Also, this car gets hot. Really hot. Smaller children will need to be supervised while they use this so they don't burn their hands. The battery bay could fit a larger battery but I think it's better to have shorter drives with how this car heats up. Maybe use bigger batteries in the winter.

I have a soft spot for buggy's here
These are decent quality but not the most durable thing in the world either. We had a blast with ours and it's pretty quick as well. This is a hobby-grade RC as you can order parts to repair them. You will just have to wait a long time for them as they come from overseas.

Huge motor for this scale! Impressive power and speed
The media could not be loaded. Tons of metal parts....adjustable upper links front and rear. Adjustable steering links, metal shock towers, front and rear. Aluminum chassis. The driveshafts are hardened steel cvd/dogbones in the front and dogbones in the rear. It has metal retainers for the hinge pins front and rear. The shocks are all aluminum body oil filled (mine I found were leaking slightly). The tires are glued and plush foam filled the motor is huge and has a heatal metal motor mount. This even has a true servo saver that is adjustable. It comes with two lipos and uses Dean style connectors. This uses a large 60amp esc/receiver combo. I typically would rather see brushless but in this case they really did a great job putting huge power in this little chassis...tons of fun for about a hundred bucks is impressive. There's plenty of room for a larger lipo pack to give you more run time and just looks incredibly nice for the price. The only fault I found were the shocks most likely needed some seals or you could try a heavier weight shock oil to see if it still leaks but it's something I've seen in rcs that are 5 times this much. Either on the track or backyard bashing this this is definitely a contender!
