Works - M1 Mac - Caldigit TS3+
No issues (though you have to download the driver, which is not mentioned anywhere...)2 external screens (one via the TS3+ directly) and one via this through the TS3+ and my laptop screens.Very early days but seems to work...

Serves its purpose with a few quirks
I used this as a second screen attachment to my Macbook Pro. I have had some issues where the main screen working with the minidisplayport connection reverts to an 800x600 resolution when the Macbook returns from standby mode. Maybe this adapter conflicts with any other monitor using the displayport. I have since connected both monitors to the adapter and it seems to be working well now.

Laggy
I've connected one 27" monitor to it using dvi output and the result was a very laggy image and practically unusable.I've tested this on 3 other monitors, the hdmi output and it was the same result.I've not tested videos, just work related stuff, browser, email...All drivers were up to date.Tested on a Macbook pro 2012 mid, 16 GB RAM, I5 2.4Ghz, SSD KingstonVerdict: NO, NO, NO, a big waste of money

Works well
I bought this for a MacBook Air (mid 2011 model), which has only USB2 ports. You can download drivers for Mac OS X from [...]I have to say it works very well. I have 2 x 24" 1080p monitors connected to this device - one on the HDMI port, the other on the DVI port. So combined with the built-in laptop screen, this simultaneously gives a 3 monitor setup. I'm a software engineer so I can say it works well for running an IDE on one screen, API docs on the other, and email open on the laptop screen etc.Video playback is a bit flickery when in window mode, but seems fine when full screen (strangely). This is probably due to glitches in the displaylink driver, which may improve. Or it might be better if connected to a USB3 port (my laptop has only USB2 ports). I bought this for working in IDEs, not for watching youtube anyway so it's fine for that purpose. One issue I had is my monitors have DVI connections, and I had planned to use an HDMI-to-DVI adaptor to convert both ports on this device to DVI. But the ports on this device are so close together, that when I plug the adaptor into the HDMI port, it blocks the DVI port on the device. So I had to buy a dedicated HDMI-to-DVI cable for one of my monitors instead of using that adaptor. All things considered, this device works really well.

Works on a mid 2012 MacBook Pro
It works as intended - and it means I don’t have to upgrade my laptop just yet! It’s quite expensive for what it is: just a small box with two DisplayPort inputs and an Ethernet port. But I guess the proprietary rights of DisplayLink might have something to do with it.
