Who doesn’t enjoy a good card game now and again? Introducing you to the exciting and strategic game of pinochle, this truscope pinochle card set boasts 12 decks to ensure you never run out of cards again! Plus, you can give some away and still have plenty left over for yourself. There are six red and six blue decks – each one containing A (high), K, Q, J, 10, 9 (low) in each of the four suits and two of each card. A typical game is played with 2-4 players, where it's every player for him or herself! In this version, each player scores points by melding certain combinations or by winning tricks. The person who reaches 1000 points first, wins. For enhanced fun, there are variations of the game where two or three decks are used and 4-6 players work together in two partnerships. This makes the game ideal for larger groups, those who want to learn other challenging games and experienced players like.Often compared to bridge and chess, pinochle rewards the player who can leap on opportunities and is unafraid of risk. It challenges each player mentally and rewards those who are willing to take chances. For convenience, the directions are printed on extra cards to explain the rules, strategies and scoring of this unique card game.A perfect introduction for the novice, as well as a great deck for the expert pinochle player, this exciting card game makes a great stocking stuffer for children who like a challenge and adults who enjoy gambling with some friends. The decks can also be used in grab bags or as party favors for any special occasion. Easy to carry everywhere you go, pinochle can be played any time you want to experience the thrill of mental combat.

Bargain
At a little over $1 per deck, these cards are a bargain. I compared them to my Bicycle brand cards and they seem to be of similar weight and finish. Shuffling and dealing feel fine. The artwork on front and back is very basic. I imagine the "air cushion" coating Bicycle touts (tiny pockets in coating so cards glide more easily across playing surface and each other) is not present but this is nit-picky. Docking one star only because overall presentation is inferior to what I'm used to from the U.S. Playing Card Company.A nice addition would have been making one of the extra cards (3 jokers in the deck?) a "cheat sheet" for scoring.

One of the best purchases I've made on Amazon
Absolutely great card: durable and long-lasting. You couldn't ask for better cards. The price is right, the cards are bright, and the material is more durable than other cards I've used. I definitely intend to purchase more playing cards from Truscope. They make a quality product, and I'm very pleased with my purchase. These cards are really lasting longer than the other cards I've purchased in the past.

Feel good when playing.
The backs are nothing fancy but the cards seem to be good quality. Those who play with them are surprised they are generic and not one of the major brands feels better. Four stars only because mailing package was junk. Cards arrived in a broken bag.

Good quality, reasonable price
Ok, I'll start by saying these don't have the thick quality feel of Bicycle cards, but they are much better than a dollar store brand! For the price, which is reasonable, and the fairly good feel, we're happy.

this is a good deck to get
This is a totally functional deck, everything as expected. No extra cards, no instructional cards. If you know how to play pinochle and want some decks without all the extra stuff in it, this is a good deck to get. If you are wanting to learn Pinochle and need instructional cards and a couple of blanks, go with the Bicycle decks.

Good quality cards
Good quality cards. Seem to have more plastic content, which I hope means they'll last longer. We play double-deck pinochle about two evenings per week and had trouble with the Bicycle decks wearing out after a few weeks. These are holding up much better. Really good value too. Paid 1.16 per deck with the 12-pack.

Great set of cards
Great set of cards! In the past, when I open a deck of say Bicycle cards, for the the first few days they are very slippery and it’s difficult to shuffle. There’s none of that with these.

For very inexpensive cards, these are really nice. When visiting 3 other siblings who are avid players, This provided each with at least one good double deck set at each house for the price of 2 banana splits, or a 6 pack of beer.
