    Misaligned at the equator

I like the look of this globe - it is very stylish from afar, but when you look closely it is slightly misaligned at the equator.  This bugs me a bit.  I was going to return but missed the window for return so have kept it.  I'm growing to like it despite the misalignment - we have been adding dots of where we have visited - we used these which are perfect for the job:

Identical to the globe sold by John Lewis for considerably more money, this is a beautiful modernised version of the traditional globe, ideally suited to a modern home.  The black and silver design is very easy to read and provides a very detailed overview of the world we live in (with hundreds of large cities marked).  I have now added lots of tiny red 'micro-dots' to the globe surface to show everywhere I've visited over the past 40 years, and am totally delighted with the end result (even if it does then emphasise just how much of the world I haven't seen - yet!).
