Quality radiator paint
After decorating a bedroom the radiator looked awful . Bought a can of this now looks like new. I painted it in the summer , so drying time good. Good value for money .

Excellent paint
Excellent paint very easy to apply, nice and thick without being clumpy, fantastic finish on the radiators

Great brand and value for money.
Easy enough to use and apply and clean brushes after. My rad was very off white beforehand and needed 2 coats as in first you could see brushstrokes. But 2nd coat covered them up. I did paint cold, leave cold and left the recommended time in between coats. Value wise, I got this from Amazon for about 40% of the cost in high street and some other online stores so very pleased. Also glad I did my research first and got this cos it was the top recommended one. Scent wise, I have no sense of smell so it didn't bother my but my son has brittle asthma so I did this on a weekend I knew he'd be away, just in case.

Paint is thin
Bought to paint the radiator, have used it before, and I find it works well. Is thin paint so have to watch out for drips. Nice white colour and drys fairly quickly

A cheap way to brighten up old radiators
If you have a choice like I did, do you buy a new radiator, or make the best of what you've got already? I chose the latter, and I've been really pleased. The radiator was off the wall whilst plastering took place, and I'd say that made a big difference. Whilst this paint creates a lovely brilliant white finish, it also shows every single brush stroke and therefore you really have to keep just the right pressure and direction on your brush. I did two coats, mostly as the radiator was very yellowed (the coverage is good, but if the radiator is older, two coats will likely be required), but also because my first coat wasn't the neatest and this paint isn't very forgiving! It has a light smell to it, nothing a regular hammerite user won't be accustomed to, but I'd always recommend well ventilating the room, or taking the radiator outside like I did (I know that's not always possible or required!)Overall, good product, nice finish, but be patient as it requires concentration and a steady hand :)

Beautiful smooth and glossy finish.
I have tried 4 different radiator paints and wish I had found this stuff first! It leaves a beautiful smooth and glossy finish that makes the radiators look like new. It is oil based and smells for a while but it is well worth it.

VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE RESULTS
Bought the paint in the tin rather than the aerosol. Was a bit worried about using the paint as didn't want my radiators to look like they had been 'painted'. Can say I have been extremely impressed. The paint is quite thin, but that is what makes the radiator look like new although still easy to work with. Wiped the radiators down before applying the paint. Didn't think radiators were bad to start with until I started painting and difference became obvious. Applied two coats to radiators whilst still attached to the wall using a small brush. Very happy with the results.

A job that makes my heart sink
Ok, so I'm not the most enthusiastic DIYer, but I've found myself having to do a lot of painting in the last couple of years. Inevitably, if you are going to decorate a room, then you are probably going to have to paint the radiator as well, otherwise it will stand out looking like it's had a heavy smoker exhaling over it for several years. If you're going to do it (instead of hiding it behind a radiator cover <good idea, come to think of it>), then this is the stuff you need. The problem with it is (if you've never used it before) that it is very runny. If you're painting a ribbed radiator, that means you have to be vigilant to make sure you don't end up with drips down the indentations at the top of each "rib", or drips from the bottom over the bottom strip of the radiator. It doesn't cover brilliantly either. One radiator I did had to have 4 coats: the others were generally 3. But it does the job and you'll end up with a gleaming radiator - eventually. I just wish it was a bit easier to apply.
