Does it fit the Gopro Session 5, yes. Does it offer better protection to a "naked" gopro, yes. Problem is the bolts. The bolts are TINY... tiny hex head bolts... if you drop a bolt good luck finding it but it comes with 1 spare of each bolt... Another Problem: the tiny hex heads are easily stripped... if you strip the head of the bolt with your gopro inside the shell your go pro is trapped. I installed my gopro to test the shell and fitment... tried to remove the bolts to free my gopro from the shell only to realize that 2 of 3 bolts are stripped at head... My gopro session is trapped. I will leave it trapped for now since I can access all the gopro ports & slots with the shell on... when I do decide to remove the gopro from from this jail shell I will have to get a flat head and pry at the door until the bolts snap off at the head... and they will snap because they are so small. 3/5 stars because the bolts did not come stripped... I admit That the stripped heads are likely from me 'over tightening' but the bolts are so small that it is way too easy to over tighten... too easy.

This case is good, but the hero5 session camera rattled around in it. I tried to add electric tape to the back to tighten it up by putting pressure up front, which works ok for a while, but seriously this should have been solved by tighter manufacturing tolerances.

It's a solid piece for a decent price. The original plastic casing is just too flimsy for my purposes and cracked over time. There is a weight penalty, but it's worth it. It rattled a little bit in the case, so I shimmed it some pieces of rubberband and it's been great.

It won’t stay in place, with normal vibration of my motorcycle it will rotate up, after 10 min of riding it’ll be pointing to the sky. I tried in different ways to tighten it up so it’ll stay in place, but the metal it’s made of won’t work with GoPro original accessories, or the cheaper ones. I decide not to use it no more since the plastic ones won’t give me that problem. The housing case itself is pretty good cuality, but just won’t end up pointing where I needed it to.

I thought the casing would be more versatile...such as to access the camera without the Allen key. Well, at least its protected

It is ok. Its a good mount if your camera is going to stay in it all the time. It takes tools to get it out. For someone like me that moves there camera from the dash of a car, a headband, a diving case, ect it is to difficult to use and.

It doesn't get any more secure than this. The only complaint I have is that the frontal framing could stick out a bit more to protect the lens.
