KeeNetic Keneetic BS503B Portable Stereo Wireless speaker with fabric wrap, alumiumn handle

The KeeNetic Sound Boom Speaker (Model Number BS503B) has performed very well for the past three months. I use it primarily with my Apple iPhone, Apple iPad, and HP laptop. Pairing it with my Apple products was easily accomplished. Each device picks up the speaker as soon as it is turned on. All you have to do is click connect on your Apple device and you are good to go. However, there is one very important caveat; you must disconnect one Apple product before you can connect to the other one. I use a 3.5 mm cable (not included) for connecting my HP laptop to the speaker. The only cable that comes with the speaker is a micro USB cable, which you can use to charge the speaker, provided you have an adapter (not included) to go with it.Except for the on/off switch on the KeeNetic Sound Boom Speaker, everything is controlled from whatever device you are using. The quality of sound is very good, whether you are listening to music or watching a movie. Both Apple products have a wireless range of approximately 150 feet. My HP laptop has always had a very low speaker volume; I was always forced to use earphones when watching movies or newscasts. With the speaker, I have all the volume I could ever need. I have never depleted the charge on the battery, but I know the speaker will operate continuously for several hours with no decrease in audio volume. With no input, the speaker will shut off in five minutes, which saves on power.The KeeNetic Sound Boom Speaker is covered in very nice grey cloth-like material with a big and very sturdy metal handle that swings back out of the way when not in usage. The speaker is heavy. I'm glad it has a sturdy handle for carrying it. However, I wish it had arrived with a protective bag. Also, I believe it should have included a 3.5 mm cable for connecting it to my HP laptop and an adapter for charging it. However, it is an easy-to-operate speaker that greatly increases the volume of whatever device to which it is paired via Bluetooth or connected via a 3.5 mm cable. I especially recommend it to owners of laptops, like myself, who watch a lot of movies on them and need to increase the volume. I failed to mention earlier that I am hearing impaired and this speaker greatly improves my enjoyment of watching movies.

08/31/17 Update : I have been using this speaker on a daily basis which has been working nicely until now. The USB charging port on the unit broke. Now I cannot charge this unit and the device is rendered unless. I have to revise the rating based on this incident. What a bummer as the sound quality was indeed quite nice.The KeeNetic Sound Boom Stereo Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker performs quite well as a portable wireless bluetooth speakers in its price range. The speaker weights about 2.8 lb with the dimension of about 10"W x 4"H x 3.5" D. It also comes with a carrying handle. The unit pairs easily with my Fire HD 8 Tablet which is what I used for testing the speaker. I used the Fire HD 8 to stream my favorite Amazon Prime music to the speaker. The speaker produces pretty decent sound at 50% volume. By no means I would be expecting it to perform like a high end speaker. I am no audiophile neither but I would honestly say the sound quality is not bad at all. I also tested it side by side with my beloved Echo which was a clear winner but it was not very far behind in terms of base and sound quality. I also recently did a comparison with the smaller Anker Soundcore Bluetooth speaker and the KeeNetic's performance was clearly better with its bigger speaker and higher power driver.There are a few things which the product could be better. Firstly, the product description says it comes with a 3.5mm Audio Cable which I could not find in the box.The box has a blue blinking LED in front when it is powered on. But there is nothing which shows the remaining charge. It does have an auto power-off function to conserve the battery. The product does not come with a charger. Since the required charger rating is 5V at 1A, it is not hard to find a USB charger for it. After doing some additional researches, I found that most portable bluetooth speakers within the same price range do not come with a charger or power level indicator neither.Overall, I think is a nice deal for a portable bluetooth speaker if we keep in mind that this is in the category of a budget speaker.
