Excellent Detail and Well Made
Superbly detailed globe and big enough to see that detail clearly. Just what I wanted.

Just received the moon globe and actually appalled. For the money it cost it's not great quality at all the two halfs are not even lined up properly. Then when I looked at the invoice it has a total value of 3000yen. So I payed £135 for a globe that's worth £20... that's a 575% increase!

Wonderful Globe
NOTE !!!!! I added my own mount, the globe comes with a nice clear plastic base that allows the globe to rotate in any direction. All the landings of Apollo are marked. The company that makes this globe is in the United States and the globe is made in the USA.

There’s an extra $25 delivery fee at the door.
It was perfect except for the unexpected $25 delivery fee when it was delivered at the door. And I sent it as a gift to my brother in another province so he had to pay upfront and tell me about it. I paid him back seeing as it was a gift and all. Other than that, he loved it.

Great globe, will use for moon viewing.
I love this globe, I teach astronomy and am always looking for new things to help the students visualize what I am talking about in class. It has major features marked and is well done, light, and comes with a stand. My only minor complaint is that it has all of the features labelled with the English translations of their names and not the Latin scientific names, which is what we use in class. I would reverse the order of the parenthesis and the stated names, but that is a minor gripe at best. I am satisfied with my purchase and would encourage others who want a moon globe to try one of these.

The one I just received is fine
I just bought one of these (August 2013) from TechUsed. The good news is that the globe I received (a new one, despite the seller's name) is free of the gross assembly defects inflicted on some unlucky customers. The northern and southern hemispheres are both present and where they should be.The bad news is minor. There are some small constructional flaws. In one or two places the paper gores covering the papier-mâché globe don't fit quite right, so a narrow (a millimeter or so) sliver of beige cardboard is visible. The printing which extends across gores doesn't always line up perfectly. The joint between the cardboard hemispheres, around the lunar equator, aligns pretty closely but not perfectly. The joint is covered by what looks like a narrow band of clear plastic with little tick marks at intervals of 5 degrees of lunar longitude. Whether that will stay in place or fall off with age I can't tell yet.The northern and southern hemisphere meridians of longitude don't line up exactly all around. They are perfectly aligned at extreme east and west, but drift a bit in between. This misalignment is small, a degree or so at most. All this is trivial stuff, nowhere near enough to dock a star.Overall, the oddest thing about this globe is that it doesn't really look like the moon. Visually, the moon's extensive maria are much darker than the rest of the landscape, but on this globe everything's a uniform light gray color. But I knew that before I bought it. There is a newer (and more expensive) globe on the market which shows the maria as darker regions. The vendor was fine; nice fast shipping, no damage to the box or the product.Overall, I'm happy to add this to my stash of terrestrial and sidereal globes.
