Review: Functional and a great value. - Surprisingly versatile and well made. I am not going to use this as a cleaver for cutting through bone, and honestly am not sure if it will. I cook a lot of vegetarian dishes with some meat and this is perfect for me. It's nicely constructed, but the cut out under the handle needs to be better finished because it's almost abrasive. I still give it five stars because of the functionality and overall design *for the price.* Normally I have a pair of chef knives and assorted other cutting tools. This will easily replace all of those (for my cooking style.) In fact, this, a smaller mezzaluna for mincing herbs, and a bread knife are all I truly need, so based on this knife I am going to greatly downsize my knife collection. One final note: not all stainless steel will stick to a magnetic. This one will, which (to me) is a major plus because I store my knives in a magnetic board.

Surprisingly versatile and well made. I am not going to use this as a cleaver for cutting through bone, and honestly am not sure if it will. I cook a lot of vegetarian dishes with some meat and this is perfect for me. It's nicely constructed, but the cut out under the handle needs to be better finished because it's almost abrasive. I still give it five stars because of the functionality and overall design *for the price.* Normally I have a pair of chef knives and assorted other cutting tools. This will easily replace all of those (for my cooking style.)
