Do you need gel as well as the cream?

I personally haven’t used a gel with these products. I find it heavy and crunchy. I usually use a sea salt spray OXG Moroccan sea salt spray. That does the trick for me. Hope this helps. I find the Aussie curl products suit my hair type.
