Storyteller - not for everyone
Great book with some great stories, Pie Corbett has some great ideas. Aimed at teachers and some parents (homework, creative play, project ideas or simply getting children excited by good stories etc.), however, some of the ideas repeat themselves and feel a little 'schooly' (if there is such a word) and some great ideas are missing (puppet theatre, shadow puppets, taking the stories outside and into the woods or creating powerpoint versions [which children love doing] etc.).A great book, but with the new national curriculum and Pie Corbett's new ideas about how to use stories in the classroom, I'm not so sure you're going to have the freedom to explore all of these ideas (in the classroom at least).

Great for book week and developing storytelling skills both oral and written.
Great stories and useful resources. My year 5 class have really enjoyed the interesting storylines and different structures of these stories and the ideas in the resource book are really helpful and inspiring. We have taken two days to explore and develop the structure and theme of The Man in Search of his Luck and the children's storytelling skills have flourished. We have also enjoyed the short stories: Regrets and The Impossible Escape which offer a different angle and opportunities for PSHE and discussion. The storytelling videos are a good resource and the 'how to' support videos are clear, helpful and short. You don't need the story book too but it is useful.

kids love it!
Great resources to use practically in the classroom. Pie Corbett, what would we do without him?! His resources are fun and great for teachers as he has done plenty of the work already.
