This is one of those books that will grow with your child as their understanding of the world grows. The lyrical words and whimsical illustrations make this a fun read for child and parent.

This book is about "building bigger, while simultaneously zooming out smaller."Starting with a line, the book examines other shapes, connecting them to a child's life and to the universe. Opening the discussion of the diversity of lines (or "what is a line"?), by including a circle, Sarvinder not only sets the stage for a discussion about math and geometric shapes, but discussing the differences and diversity in life. Sarvinder and Melinda have created both a beautifully simple and amazingly complex book.

Deceptively simple, lovely, layered book. Entertaining and thought-provoking for all ages. Definitely a read-again -- and again!

My granddaughter loves this book! She's been sitting still for it since she was only 5 months old. Loves the shapes and colors and I think it helps educate her on spacial awareness. Buying one for a gift now!
