Burg-Wachter MB04BK Black Grand Wall Mounted Galvanised Steel Lockable Weatherproof Post Box - 33x45x15cm

Having an older house means a smaller letterbox and a hardwood door. With everything becoming online and home delivery I chose this as an alternative to damaging the front door trying to make the letterbox larger.On the whole it works ok although the wire that holds the lid hinge did slide out and it is a little flimsy, j can't comment on how water tight it is as it's mounted in a porch but it serves a purpose.

Bought as the Burg Wachter parent company products seen were great. Would have bought one too, except this model was what I wanted for size - and for £40 expected a lot better.Metal is flimsy (arrived with a dent too) and feel the downwards opening door flap is going to warp each time its opened.The lock is the worst - feels like some sort of plastic composite not even metal - it's a trial to get the key in every time and as a result it's scratched and looks poor after no time up.Wonder how long it will last - but won't buy from the Sterling range again!

Looks smart, holds large envelope. It does let water in when it rains though.

Very disappointing purchase. The box is definitely not weatherproof. Puddle of water found at the bottom after rainfall, does not drain, mail gets completely soaked in water.Unfortunately, it did not rain during the return window period, so I did not find out about the issue until later. It is now too late to return it. Total waste of money.

Looks ok but cheaply built, the lock is being destroyed by the key and not water tight mail gets wet as it leaks in 1 corner. I dont get a lot of post but the key is shredding the internals of the lock I can barely get the key in the lock now, won't be long before I have to tear it apart to get to the mail.

My old metal mail box was too small for the bigger envelopes to easily fit in. My paper will now fit into my new box so I don’t have to worry about my gate being left open and my dogs getting out !My box is just inside my gate so things can easily be posted and it’s kept secure and dry. I am very pleased with my post box.Thank you.
