This has kept my mother's Kindle Fire and her memory Care room for over a year now! Very durable made very well so far it's had great protection because it's still in her room. The price was also right and it was compatible and fit on the back of her Kindle Fire very well!

The product is great! Easy to install and simple to use however ... the instructions needs to be proofed. They made reference to "the white backing" and no such thing exists on the product. I spent 10 minutes, like an idiot, searching and finally gave up. The "backing" is red, by the way. Product works great!

The product seems fine. I'm mostly leaving 4 stars instead of 5 because the instructions were so bad. To help you out, ignore the instructions. They are incorrect. You literally just need to peel off the red strip of plastic on the anchor plate and put it on whatever you want it to be on. Then, set the lock to the default code (all 0s). Press in THE SCREW at the bottom of the lock, and while doing so, change the combination. Release the screw to set your code, then you can mix up the combination. Where the instructions are wrong: 1) You aren't peeling off the red cover and attaching it to the anchor plate (the stickers are already attached to the plates) 2) There is no white cover, stop looking for one. 3) The pictures showing a button on the side of the lock are confusing. There is no button on the side of the lock, and the big button that is on the lock isn't the one they're referring to when they talk about a button. They are talking about the screw at the bottom of the lock that you have to press in (this isn't obvious). Other tips: 1) I tried testing the lock before I had the sticker attached to something (I wanted to see if it would work before attaching something permanent to my expensive laptop); this doesn't really work. You need to secure it to something for the lock to click in right. 2) If putting this on a laptop, think about how the lock will sit if you are planning on using this while you are using your laptop. I put my first anchor in a spot that I thought would be inconspicuous, but then I realized that I can't have my laptop screen open as much as I would like if I have the lock attached. So, I ended up putting the second anchor on my laptop screen.

Used this for monitor in public office. She had monitor taken before so we installed this on her new one. It is super easy to use and has metal sticky mounts. Love the combination lock so don't have to worry about losing key.

Very well designed locking cable for ipad pos system in my store. small footprint plate with extremely strong 3M sticker to hold the tablet back panel, now checkout worker are so comfortable leaving the front desk to check the goods without worrying about someone coming and grab the ipad. Coming with two anchor plates, a plus for my case because we have a android tablet and a ipad mini, sometimes the android main checkout system has issue then we will replace with ipad mini square checkout system. combination lock is very smooth operation, pretty convenient comparing to key lock. overall this product has high quality and totally over my expectation.

The TEK iPad item worked just as it was supposed to to lock my iPad. It is easy to use.

I discovered that my laptop doesn’t have the little slot that takes a security cable. This product is a neat solution to this problem. The stick-on slot is unobtrusive, and I felt safe leaving my computer in the hotel room on a recent trip.

Overall this is a great solution for my check-in tablet at my business. However, I made the mistake of misplacing the extra anchor plate. We upgraded to a new tablet so I tried to reach out the Above Tek support team for a replacement anchor plate for the new device and they were not helpful - no replacement parts and they aren't sold individually. Just something to keep in mind for when you want to upgrade your device or even change to a new protective case. ps, if anybody has an extra anchor plate laying around please contact me!

I originally gave this product 1 star, detailing a problem with the adhesive locking plate, and returning it to Amazon. The company, AboveTEK, was superbly helpful, sending me a free replacement. I have fitted the replacement iPad Security Cable to my MacBook Air and it is absolutely, completely rock solid - there was obviously simply a 'once off' issue with the 3M adhesive pad and I am confident that my MacBook Air is now well protected by this impressive, easy to use and great looking security cable. I was looking for a portable security solution for my staff and I intend to order this cable for all my staff devices, when I place my next business order. Not only would I fully recommend the product, but the Customer Service Dept. at the company is excellent and very professional, inspiring confidence in the company and the product.

Erst wollte ich es zurückschicken, weil mein Laptop sowas nicht hatte und ich davon keine Ahnung habe. Wollte es halt vor Ort ausprobieren. Aber jegwehige andere Lösung wäre genauso beruhigend - befriedigend. Also Laptop Schuld. -- Kleber hält Bombe, mehrfahr gezwirnter Draht ist stabil, das andere Ende um Tischbein gewickelt. Für ein Diebstahl im Öffentlichen Raum ist es definitiv sicher. Außer er hat ein Seitenschneider mit.

Me gusta el adhesivo aunque como lo pegas en las tapas de la computadora no me animé a probar si aguantaba un halón. Creo que tal vez salga volando la tapa de mi lap antes que la cadena o el candado. Pero en general buen producto!

Works as expected. Just be sure the other side you secure to is good and has no way for would be thieves to undo.
