I've wanted to see this movie for years. I had read the book ages ago but when I finally saw this available I watched it and OMG how crappy. It's a bad movie and Christoper Walken sucked. God, he's a bad actor. The wife and kid were bad too. The whole thing made me realize that he was a bad writer who needed a gimmick to sell books. He prob. had a night terror and then realized this whole alien thing could make him a lot of money (which it did). I believe in Aliens but this movie made me start to question that...

let's face it. you do not want to watch this movie for a good story; you want to watch this movie for Christopher f'n walken! the man is the coolest man on earth. he oozes cool. he doesn't even sweat, but if he did, it would be super cool looking. he does Christopher walken things in this movie, many times over, and they are all super cool. watch and get your fill of Christopher f'n walken

Excellently done. I read the book years ago, and although the movie didn't track perfectly with the book, it was very well done. If you have any interest in Strieber's work, then this is worth watching. If you don't, and you haven't encountered anything by him, this may not be a great place to start. That said, give it a shot, if that's the case, and you may find yourself intrigued!

I periodically look in on this movie about once every 6 months. Up until now, I had to buy it on dvd or vhs. This is an awesome flick that Ill likely watch weekly for as long as you have it up!! Scared the bjeesus out of me as a kid..I remember being so confused watching an alien abduction movie with the simultaneous comic relief of Mr. Walken.

This movie has creeped me out since I was in my early teens. This was one of the first movies I read the book for. I woke up one morning earlier this month needing to see Christopher Walken give his best Whitley Strieber impression. The scene where Whit first sees the alien in his room behind his door has creeped me out my whole life just like the bearded ghost in shaft alley on the escalator on the Unsolved Mysteries Queen Mary segment.

Weird movie but then that's Sci Fi. Interesting story line - musical score is great. I enjoyed the movie, maybe because I'm not a SciFi fan so haven't seen later movies with advanced techniques. The only thing that bothered me was the "flow" was sometimes a bit off.

I remember this movie coming out when I was 19 and was played off as a horror/ thriller.30 years later and it seems more like a doc.Made me and instant fan a Mr. Walkens.A must see for fans, Alien believers and those on the fence.

One of the best Alien movies ever, and supposedly a true story! Walken is great in this role.

Excellent and enjoyable film that has taken a while for me to find on BluRay for a good price. Great performances by Christopher Walken and cast, and a fascinating and thought- provoking storyline. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing it again.

I have the book so watching the film was a treat. The film is quite old so the special effects are limited, the aliens are a little tongue in cheek which is superseded by Christopher Walkens acting. I am a fan of his anyway. It was a good story line as per the book and very believable.

Very happy have been after this movie for a while. I saw it many years ago when I was still in school and its always stuck with me. Well worth a watch.And it had arrived in double quick time was not expeting it so quick

I was recommended this film by a friend. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
