The story sets during the Han Dynasty of China. The youngest daughter of the Heavenly Jade Emperor falls in love with a mortal, Dong Yong, which begins a star-crossed romance which would touches both Heaven and Earth but would still eventually force to be apart because of each coming from a different world; that the Seventh Fairy would remains forever young and lives forever, while the man she loves, whom she ultimately would marry, would becomes old and dies. It is based from a well-known centuries old legend, "Fairy Couple," from China with a modern twist, that after Dong Yong reincarnated in the 21st century, he would eventually reunites with his true love, who has renounces her immortality in order not to be separate from him again.Glad that Hu Ge and Ariel Lin, who portrayed China's legendary couple, would reunite later on another television series, " The Eagle Shooting Heroes ."
