The Big Storm: A Very Soggy Counting Book (Classic Board Books)

My five-year-old son has checked this book out from our local library at least three times, and would have checked it out more often if I would let him. Instead, I bought him his own copy for Easter.If I were still a children's librarian, I would create a flannel board from this book, and use it at least once a year.My son had fun counting up to ten. He laughed at the 2 that followed the 10, and got into the spirit of the countdown.The illustrations, as Tafuri's illustrations always are, were perfect. Her animals are accurate enough to be easily recognized and distinguished, and sweet enough that you want to run your hands over the exquisitely-rendered fur.

Very cute book- great illustrations, wonderful for learning weather, animals, and counting. Lovely children's book!

My two-year old granddaughter has had some fearfulness when thunder storms come around. She loves this book and I think it has helped her feel that the storms are not really anything to fear. She loves me to read the sounds the thunder makes.

I purchased this book to use in my early childhood classroom. Shows concepts of math and counting with beautiful animal illustrations. This book easily makes connections to other animal, math and weather books as well.

My son loves animals and is starting to really get into listening to books, he's 22 months. Its a very good book for learning to count and it keeps him entertained.

My three year-old son adores this book. Definitely a good purchase.

I am not returning this because someone else found 10 animals on page 13-14.
