Rube Goldberg - The Robot Factory Challenge - Interactive S.T.E.M Learning Kit

This was the worst toy ever. I purchased for my grandson. It repeatedly fell apart, and even when we permanently attached pieces together it did not work. Threw it away along with the other rube kit I bought.

I don't think this toy was play tested at all. We put it together exactly as instructions stated, but pieces balance together very precariously, and fall apart with the slightest bump. Spent over an hour trying to put it together (again and again because each time you add a new piece, the others fall apart), only for it not to work at all once finally assembled. And I'm using the word "assembled" very loosely here, because many of the pieces don't hold together at all on their own, and we had to be holding them in place. Not one small step of the rube goldberg machine worked. Fortunately, it says in the instructions what is "supposed" to happen, otherwise we would have no idea. We were laughing and laughing as we read over all the things that were "supposed" to happen. Whoever designed this toy had ridiculously high expectations. And, yeah, they definitely didn't try it for themselves. I would be amazed if anyone ever got this thing to actually work. Very poorly designed. Gave us some good laughs though. But I can also see it leading to some very frustrated tears.

This is a really frustrating project because you get it together, and one of the pieces is broken. You test the rest of it, and it wobbles and nothing flows together. Everyone has banana fingers even though they are nimble with any other activities. This was cool while putting together, and it was neat to see individual portions of the project work. Sadly nothing worked together, and like another reviewer, I had to read the directions to figure out how it should have really worked. I agree with the first review, that no one tested this project out. I sent in a request to the manufacturer regarding that the toy piece was broken. I got extremely frustrated by this and would not pay another penny towards these kits in the future. I want something that works or at least has the possibility to. These pieces are loose and precariously balanced. Glad to see I wasn't the only one who thought this could have been better designed, though. I really wanted it to work, and I cannot imagine the disappointment of a child, if failure was the only result.

This product doesn’t even deserve one star. No kid, besides possibly the most patient child prodigy, could ever set this thing up so that it works as described. Even with an adult’s help, the contraption never worked correctly.. once set in motion, all of the parts would spring at once instead of building the robot in order. Great idea, but my son was very disappointed with the results.

You can put it together exactly as intended (which takes the patience and dexterity of an adult, not a child), but it wouldn’t work because the rail car carrying the robot body stops to hard and the body will fall over the legs, or the robot head will be smashed on too hard (even with the provided sticker dot) onto the body and it bounced off. So in theory this could work but in reality we tried may be 20 times and not one time it worked...

No kid could put this together. Doesnt stay in place. Even when holding the parts and releasing when they "should" nothing works right.I had to leave the family and decompress after playing with this with my kids. The rage and frustration it generates is immense.

This is the worst toy I have ever touched. I furiously made margaritas after trying to get this to work as it should. There is no way the robot head is going slam on the body and stay. Manufactured probably bought a ton of inventory, realized it didn’t worked and sold it anyways. No way this was tested.

Too hard to put together this is not good. You need to be a genius to put this thing together. This is really bad.
