Silent Hill Downpour: Anne's Story Paperback – 17 Mar. 2015

I wanted to read a graphic novel of Silent Hill because I played the games and I thought I could read a book of Silent Hill.

Good.

This would be a very interesting back story to the Silent hill Downpour game if the imagery was not so dark I can hardly tell what was happening.

I've played through the story of Silent Hill Downpour many times on the Playstation 3, so I am very familiar with Murphy Pendleton's visit to the titular town. But what about officer Anne Cunningham? Where did she go during those sections between when Murphy bumped into her during the game and how did she get to those locations? What was the reason why she hates him as much as she does and what is Murphy's connection to her father? Well all the answers are revealed in the excellent (and surprisingly released) graphic novel.I'm not one to normally read comic books but I love everything Silent Hill so I just had to read this, and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed every page. The artwork is very similar to that of the game, which I really appreciated, so really feels like part of the same story.I highly recommend this to any fans of Silent Hill and especially anyone who wants to expand their Downpour experience. 5 stars.
