The Art of Conversation (Taoc Taoc)

Just a stack of cards, but the questions are great.
They do suggest a few ways to use the cards, but we ended up just passing the cards around the room, letting the person with the cards choose the question to ask to the next in line. The best part about them were the questions. I researched every type of game/cards like this and settled on this one because of the reviews. I think I made a wise choice. I needed the cards because my family had a 13 year old relative come into town that we had never met. I wanted something where we could get to know each other without feeling silly or having embarrasing questions. We had an 8 year old playing all the way up to a 62 year old and we laughed and talked for a few hours, in the process we got to know each other a little better. I wanted some religious and values questions, and there were a few. I did NOT want any adult-only or embarrasing questions, and I was pleased to not find any. I highly recommend these cards for getting to know others. Some of the questions were a little personal, but that was what I was looking for (personal without embarrasing). I don't think I'd recommend these for a business setting because of that. Also, there are a lot of questions in the two decks, but this isn't something I'd want to play every night. Great for situational use, like I needed. They were exactly what I wanted.

Good for road trips
I purchased this set for use during a very long road trip. The topics of the questions are varied, but some are repetitious. It served its expected purpose in being entertaining and inspiring discussions that helped pass the time.

Some questions were lame, others were interesting
Some questions were lame, others were interesting, but overall, nothing more than a set of questions that will get start of conversation initiated. Keeping the conversation going is all up to you. Most of the questions are simple answer type so it's hard to think of ways to keep the conversation going.

An effective tool to draw out the thoughts of others who normally don't share them.
A grate tool for getting those who are most often introverted, to share what they think, feel, believe, in a manner that can be fun.

Great for Sparking up a conversation with your children
My son, who never talks, went on and on over a question in this deck.In fact he was answering a lot of them. Good for kids with aspergers

A Whole New Family Dynamic
We have family dinners at least twice a week, with the whole extended family. We now do at least one of the questions at each dinner. The grandchildren are 8, 8 and 10. They immediately ask if I have a question ready. My sons were the most resistant, but they are slowly coming around. We are learning so much about each other, and laughing deep belly laughs, too. We are all examining our own behavior, and seeing how others see us. What a great idea!

A fun game with a group or played by only 2
A fun game with a group or played by only 2. My wife and I take it on trips and it helps with communication - gets us off of the normal topics of children, grandkids, work and health to other interesting things that spur discovery of our thoughts on a topic.

Brilliant!
I bought this because I wanted to discover more about my friends and family through a fun way of learning. The game comes with 300 questions on two packs of cards. Each card has 3 questions, the first question is an easier question to answer for example, ‘the funniest thing you’ve seen?’ The middle question could be ‘The best party you’ve held, been to or heard about?’ And then the third one, ‘how important are good manners and etiquette?’ There are rules of play included but I just went through the questions which I found more simpler and fun. So far I am half way through the first set of cards and I have been happy with the various questions. It's also great because a lot of the questions you would not of thought to of asked.I think that this would be excellent at dinner parties as it would spark lots of conversation amongst guests.I have included some photos so you can see exactly what you get. What really sells it for me is how compact the box is for taking around with you. I also thought that the price was just right.

Amazing Gift
This is an amazing fun game to play with people of differing ages. It builds connection. It manifests your inner fortitude and magnifies your sheer brilliance: as a human being. I have become it’s fan since I first came across it and now buy it as a gift for people I know who could benefit from it. I wish I could offer you a money back guarantee: play it and you shall connect. Alas I can’t but do so, you will not regret your tenner...

Great for English conversation classes. Highly recommended.
I bought this to use with my intermediate English conversation class. They loved it. There was never a dull moment. They loved the easier questions and enjoyed challenging each other with more difficult questions. It was fantastic for keeping the lessons lively and it was great for all the students to get to know each other. I highly recommend it.

A great idea.
This is such a good idea. I read an article about the version for couples but thought it sounded a bit on the therapeutic side to give to my husband for valentines. So I erred on the side of caution and ordered this one. We had a wonderful evening. The topics are great and there are 3 options to choose from. We now use it on a regular basis as part of 'having a meal together'. I plan to buy the couples one now for our anniversary!
