Giant Paper Potter

I had seen this when I went on a course from work. It's really good and simple to use. Adults and children really enjoy making their pots. Its well made and packaging and delivery was excellent,

Bought this for my dad who is a keen gardener and has 2 allotments. He LOVES it! Its really easy to use, is a great quality item (you can see it'll last forever) and is such a smart investment if you do lots of gardening. All you need is some newspaper and you can create great sized pots for seedlings. When they're ready to plant, you just pop them in the ground, without having to remove the paper. Great! And eco-friendly too.All his friends are after one now!

Didn't get with it

I already had one of the smaller paper potters which worked OKOn this one the bottom was no finished off very well. It was rough on the bottom base and around the edge. The centre core was also VERY rough which tended to tear the pot. 15 min's with a piece of sandpaper sorted it out BUT you should not have to do this on something that cost's £15. Poor Q.C.After sorting out rough edges and faces works well.

I bought this plant potter on spec. I'm quite pleased that I did.I made some pots up for my sweet william plants, they are now in my garden.The pots themselves were easy to make, and I can't see me using anything else.How cheap is a sheet of newspaper, thats all it costs to make. Cheap and Easy.Don't hesitate if you fancy having a go,you won't regret it.Mine are all made upfor the next season.

I have now bought 2 of these paper potters after a family member threatened to steal mine! This giant potter makes great sized pots for geranium cuttings, sewing all sorts of seeds etc. How did I manage before I had one???? This is a must-have bit of kit for any gardener and will be used time and time again.

I like this pot shaper. It came with a 9 inch paper height recommendation but I found 7 was OK for me. This will become clear on trying it out. Water tends to evaporate faster than plastic pots so you have to monitor them more often but I think planting them in the ground is less traumatic for the plant as you don't need to knock them out of the pot. Also the compost/soil boundary will be able to adjust more slowly.
