Update: "New unit works great!" Original Review Title - "Does not charge."
UPDATE to 5 stars: 4/2/18. Seller got in contact with me, apologized and asked if they could send me another unit. I've had the cable for 4 days now. I've rigorously tested it with coupling and uncoupling the magnetic interface. Magnet is strong and connection is secure, Cable is soft and plyable with a strong braid just like the other unit. NO issues with charging and it seems to have the same charging throughput as my OEM apple Type C cable. If you're on the fence, the seller states a 12 month warranty. I was personally pleased that the company followed up with me to make things right. So, the company gets a 5 star review for their customer service and the fact that their second unit to me works. Good job!----Original Review ------ Originally 2 stars.No issues with the design- the cable, magnet and function are done well. Even the packaging was done well. However, out of the box, It just does not charge my MacBook battery. All it does is slow the drain on the battery.

Not trustworthy. Weak magnetic connect.
The magnet becomes easily disconnected by the slightest touch of the cord or movement of the laptop. The magnet connection is least protected from hitting the end of the cord from the above or below. The cord will come disconnected if you rock the cable.

Quit working after 4 days of light use, didn’t get even a full charge from it. Such a shame!

This product is a bargain and meets all expectations. (Edit: not)
This product works at least as well as Apple's proprietary MagSafe solution that is SORELY MISSING in 2017 MacBook Pros.I had to push the adapter in with a bit more force than other USB-C devices, or perhaps it felt that way due to the small size of the device.I like it very much.EDIT: After several months of use, the connector would randomly not work and I would find my MBP with the battery completely drained. After 4 months, it just stopped working at all. This device does not stand up to simple wear and tear and should be avoided.

Quit working.
One day it was ok, and the next day it quit working without any warning. I tried all ports on my Pixelbook. But my stock oem usbc cable still works perfectly. I have no idea what went wrong.
