My steering wheel is starting to show signs of wear so I decided to look for a steering wheel cover, or have it re-wrapped. The re-wrap option was going to cost in the region of £200-£250 depending on what options I wanted and type of material etc. So I decided to look for a cover instead which is the far cheaper option, even though the re-wrap would give the best results.After searching through Amazon and eBay (I won't shop online anywhere else) I was a little disappointed because every time I found something that looked OK, most had negative reviews which really put me off. That was until I found this option, which only had 4 and 5 star reviews, so I decided to give it a try.I didn't want anything that looked cheap and nasty, it had to be something that looked sporty with a decent material and it would have to grip the wheel really well like a second skin.The packaging on this cover is exactly as shown in the product images, which is important because reviews from other steering wheel covers indicated that some came folded up which left seams and wrinkles in the cover spoiling the look when placed on the steering wheel. This came in its circular shape held in place with a circular foam ring that ensured it stayed in its proper shape until you're ready to unpack and place on your steering wheel.After taking it out of its packaging I inspected the material to look for faults or poor stitching etc. I can report that this wheel cover is made from a good quality microfiber type material that feels good to the touch and offers decent grip. The stitching looked good and in my opinion the cover itself looks more expensive than it actually is, so all good there.Now for the real test, putting it on the wheel. Fitting was fairly difficult to get right first time, and I had to wrestle it onto my steering wheel. It wasn't sitting straight, and the red line was at the 2 o'clock position instead of 12 o'clock, so I had to take it off and start again. You cannot slide it around the wheel to align the red line with 12 o'clock because it grips the wheel really tightly.Once it was on correctly I took my car for a ten minute drive to see how it handled and how the new wheel cover felt. It does make the steering wheel a little thicker, which may take some getting used to for most people, but I can honestly say I really like it. Its good for grip and will make driving in the cold a better experience because the material is warmer to the touch than my steering wheel so I pleased about that too.The overall look of the wheel cover is really good, it doesn't look cheap and in my opinion it enhances the interior look of my car. I have mine fitted to my Toyota Rav4 2014 and it matches the dark grey interior of my car really well.Overall this is a great purchase because it improves the look of the stock steering wheel, and it provides good grip with a warmer touch during colder seasons. I have given 4 stars rather than 5 because it makes the steering wheel a little thicker and it doesn't look as good as having your steering wheel re-wrapped. If you can afford it go for the re-wrap, but if you don't want to spend around £250 then this is a great choice.

Waste of money

Chose this amongst several others due to appearance and quality from reviews.I liked the appearance of carbon fibre pattern, perforted leather type look on sides where mostly held, & straight-ahead red marker.Quality is top notch. Packaging was great too, as its in its own full plastic sleeve; I've had others where the cover is folded into a small box so takes a while to uncrease.Value is good.Nice fit on a Qashqai steering wheel.Only reason for dropping a star is would've preferred the perforted part to be more grippy, as I've had on others.However, makes a standard wheel far more appealing (appearance and touch).

The cover is a tight fit so I used a table spoon to stretch it over the steering wheel. Looks good feels good
