Does the job well
Okay, if you're looking to get some blank brass challenge coins to run through your 60W fiber laser, you're in luck – they're definitely out there in bulk and are a popular material for laser engraving! Brass is a great choice for fiber lasers because they interact well with metals, allowing for detailed and lasting marks, from surface etching to deeper engraving depending on your machine's settings and power. You can find these blank brass coins from various suppliers online, including places that specialize in engraving blanks or even larger marketplaces that connect you directly with manufacturers. When you're looking, keep an eye out for descriptions that specify "solid brass" and mention suitability for laser engraving. A 60W fiber laser should give you plenty of power to get some really nice results on brass, allowing you to create custom challenge coins with intricate designs, text, and logos for whatever projects you have in mind.

Solid brass coins
I bought these to laser engrave some challenge coins. They are solid brass and worked great. Highly recommend these if you’re using them for laser engraving. They have some weight to them and are a solid product.

Perfect gift to make and sell
these are great to use on my glow forge just as long as you use a Laser marking spray as well. i created challenge coins for members of my masonic lodge. Will definitely order more in the future to use to make mementos and as products to sell on my website and in my store.

Nice quality coin blanks
The coins deep engrave well and the resulting material is copperish in color. If you are going to be adding patina to the brass, I would suggest running a few cleaning passes over the coin to remove the coating/protectant. If you don't the blackening agent won't do anything. However, if you do leave the coating on, it's a nice way to mask the patina have have a mix of black with bright brass!I did have an order error where I got 8 instead of 10 but Amazon did a replacement without problem. Plastic cases are nice but be aware that some of them may break in transit. I had 2 broken but those were waste coins for testing anyways so not a big problem. The only complaint is that there is an raised center section creating a channel around the engravable area. You may want to flatten this down if you don't want the ring otherwise, it's a nice coin. I wish they had a flat face option, though.
