Makeshift router lift
This lifting platform provides a relatively inexpensive upgrade for my low budget router table. My old router is mounted under a very basic metal table. Both the router's depth adjustment ring and its clamp normally rely on the weight of the router motor against its base, so hung upside down it is difficult to set the bit height and nearly impossible to prevent it from changing during the cutting. This lifting platform provides easily controlled height adjustment and support to help the clamp do its job.Shoppers should note that there are several variations of this import. The first two and last two pictures in the description show models with concealed tracks in the top and bottom plates, while the four pictures in between show a model with open slots instead. Also, pictures two through six show a large knob marked with Up and Down arrows while the others show a smaller plain-faced knob. The variant I received has the concealed tracks and the small plain knob which, unlike the other style, must be turned counterclockwise instead of clockwise to raise the platform - very counterintuitive, at least for me. Other listings here and elsewhere have exactly the same set of photos, so apparently it will be potluck wherever you shop.

Homemade router motor lift system
I really really did not want to pay $500 for a commercial router lift system. My old Porter Cable router motor really really did NOT want to be converted, throwing obstacles at me the entire project. Using a 3D printer and the OESS Lift Table, I finally prevailed. Note that I could not get the torque needed to lift the 6-lb motor using the knurled knob that came with the lift. I replaced the knob 3D printed crank. This works, but the 6-lbs is really the maximum for the 4" version of the lift. I would get the 6" version were I to try this project again.

Flat and Stable
I use this in my K40 Laser to adjust product height. I tried the SS version and was not happy with it. This one is solid, square and works beautifully.

Precise Lift Table
Handy to smoothly lift material. Slight turn of knob changes the cutting blade angle. Table is stable with precise height adjustments. Worked great, but the left hand thread to lift knob takes getting used to.

Solid little lifter
I like the solid one-piece construction of the top and bottom platforms; no bending, or sharp corners like I would expect from similar, slightly cheaper table jacks I've looked at here. The knob is a decent size (~1 in. diam.) and turning it leads to a smooth change in table height. Perfect for Z-axis positioning in my macro photography setup.

Buy a Lyman instead.
Came in and unpacked box. No padding. Box was mangled from the lift being thrown around. A screw was loose in the box and need to be put back on (not difficult, but not especially easy). Dowel bars were not fashioned. Thales a special screw bit to tighten. Fortunately, I had one. Dial is not the same as picture. Smaller and with Chinese words on front. Doing it again, I’d buy the Lyman. I bought this one because it looked more upscale. Lesson learned. It works fine after taking care of the issues....

This stand works well for my application and the action ...
This stand works well for my application and the action is smooth but if you need the stand to move an object of more than a pound or two accurately, look elsewhere,

Low Weight Capacity
This is a beefed-up version of a standard "Lab Jack". Vendor claims it can lift 22 lbs. I used it to lift 8 lbs. only after replacing the black handle with a T-handle, breaker-bar, and the appropriate socket. Can lift 22 lbs.? I'm not going to even try.
