Purchased this 8 watch winder through Amazon for £120. Based on the astronomical sums that can be paid for these machines this one represents very good value. It comes in a choice of piano black or Rosewood effect finish. I went for the wood effect. Although I was a bit concerned that it may look a bit tacky, in reality it's quite nice. The listing states tempered glass - it's not, it's plastic. The listing also mentions leather, it's not, it's plastic. That said however it's still very well put together and looks smart with it's chrome fittings. Be aware that this is a big heavy piece of kit, at 25" long it is unlikely to fit on your bedside table. Each two watch holder has it's own control offering 4 settings which should cater for most needs including older uni-directional winding watches.As expexted after a few weeks it has become more noisy - with the lid down in a lounge with normal background noise you would be unlikely to notice it, but I think it would be unacceptable in a bedroom over night. It remains to be seen how it will stand the test of time but up to now I'm happy with my purchase.FOLLOW UP 18.March 2017 - Having had the winder for a little over a year and a half, one of the four turn tables had stopped rotating. I was left with no alternative but to dismantle the thing. Each turntable has its own gearbox with integral motor. In short, there was grease where it shouldn't be and no grease where it should.. There are three pinions (cogs) in the gear box, the largest of which drives the turntable and is sandwiched between two bushes - one of these had seized up due to lack of lubricant in manufacture. Drive from the motor is transfered by a flimsy rubber band which was starting to perish and I have doubts as to how much longer they will last. I serviced the other three gear boxes as well and would advise other owners to do the same. No alternative but to down grade from 4 star to 2, as I don't expect to many years of service from this item

It is an immaculately constructed box, however do bear in mind it is quite large and does weigh quite a bit. Some thing that I personally underestimated. The size is quite a hefty piece of equipment and would struggle to fit on most bed side tables and would probably take up most of the room on ones chest of drawers. Only negative I have is that (probably again my eyesight failing me) I the 9 watch storage does pretude quite a bit I was under the impression it tucks away nicely, maybe in a drawer or only juts out slightly, however this is not the case. All in all , a very pretty product, however much larger and imposing than i was expecting.

Took longer than expected to arrive - but good quality. Tip: check the measurement before ordering as it is HUGE!

Arrived a couple of days after ordering - Appears very good value - plenty of room for all your watches - automatic and manual - It is not a small winder and keep that in mind - but very happy with the product so far

Brought it for a present for my partner, he really likes it and we have had no problems with itIt is larger than I thought but looks lovely

£120? It would have to be rubbish not to be worth that. It's not rubbish though. Looks great, works, holds a lot of watches and if it lasts a year or two, it won't owe me anything. Well worth the price.

Its a well made watch winder, only had it a week but well pleased with its silent mechanism. Feels sturdy and comes with instructions on how to use. All in all, no complaints at all!

Beautiful quality but far too big!!!! I didn't realise the size of it. Have to return purely due to size as it won't fit anywhere.
