Sea to Table Wild-Caught Alaska Sockeye Salmon Fillets, 12 oz.

So far we have tried the Redfish, the cod and the Sockeye Salmon from this distributor and no disappointments at all with the quality of the fish. The salmon was particularly incredible!So why four stars only? Two reasons: They use Fedex to ship and two of our four orders got mis-delivered or late delivered, but they had no problem replacing it. Just an inconvenience really.But one issue with the seller is they ship two fillets per order with nothing separating the fillets so if you want to eat only one piece of fish and keep the other frozen, you can’t, because they are frozen solid with no way to separate. I actually hope Sea To Table reads this and starts putting a separator in between the fillets. Other than that, the fish is really 5 Star!

my concern is that the fish seems to be water laden. maybe i'm just sensitized because of the common supermarket practice of loading their fish, pork and chicken products with injected water, but i defrosted my last order of sockeye salmon from wild caught and the fish was pretty sodden with water. actually had to wring the filets out over the sink. i admit to not understanding the ins and outs of freezing wild caught fish but to be honest, my "scam detector" did activate. any similar experiences?

Very pleased with this product
