Perfect Finish is designed to be used with a rotary polisher. You can mix and match, and do whatever feels most comfortable. That being said, the Perfect Finish abrasives are a little "better" and need a little more heat to break down. That is why it is paired with a rotary, and also why it is a little more expensive. **Q: Should I use a soft pad or hard pad using Chemical guy pads?** A: Depends on if you’re doing 1 step or 2 and the color of the paint. If you’re trying to remove swirls and small scratches in black paint, I recommend using Sonax Cutmax first and then EX 04-06. I did Cutmax with orange Chemical Guys pad and EX 04-06 with white and it came out great. If you just want to do the EX, on black I’d recommend using an orange or green pad depending on how bad the defects are. The car clear coat was in pretty good condition so this was perfect for the job coupled with a Chemical guys orange hex logic pad. The lubrication system within the product lasts more than long enough to achieve a great result result with a DA (which it is specifically formulated for) and gives an impressive gloss. The only negative is it’s a touch pricey. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sonax 04 06 *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 28 September 2019* Used this on a red BMW with meguiars yellow and burgundy pad. Corrected better with the burgundy pad due to paint hardness. Got rid of 90% of defects and finished great. No need to change pad or polish. No dust, wiped off easily with microfibre. Will definitely buy again when used up, and buy a larger bottle.
