No, different charging system with lithium batteries, optimate and BC chargers do specific lithium chargers and both do a charger that will charge both lithium and lead acid

Yes, there is a set to leave attached to the vehicle and another set which clip onto the battery terminals. The mains lead has a 2 pin plug so you need to get a 2 pin to 3 pins adaptor.

I have this connected up to my Cortina while the battery is in the car,. It has connections you can put on the battery to hook it up to the trickle charge whenever you are not using it without removing the battery.
