TENSHOCK RC906 6-Pole 1/10 Rock Crawler Brushless Sensorless Motor-2400KV

The rig I bought this for has scx10 axles and a wraith transmission with dig unit (96t spur 12t pinon) and 2.2/5.5 super swampers, and is powed by a sidewinder esc and 3s battery. Despite my best attempts the slowest it will go is about 2mph. I swapped to a 4pole 18t Novak motor and I could go as slow as I want. Putting the tenshock in the stampede 4x4 with 2.2/5.5 trepadors, 12t pinon, 3s battery and fuze esc made it slow down but the top end is insane. Basically the 2 extra poles are like halving the number of pinon teeth without losing the top end. I bet this thing could power most 1/8th scale stuff no problem. It might be possible to get it slower with the right esc but I'd say either run this fantastic motor on 2s in a 1/10 or go 1/8th(Edit) used my dx4c to put an 80% exponential on the throttle curve and now it crawls no problem!
