A triumph of a book! 50 years of illustration takes us back to the 60's and covers the most significant illustrators from then until now. Each Illustrator gets a page (sometimes more) which reproduces key works. The main career details of each illustrator is also given.The book gives even coverage to all genre of illustrator from each decade.There are an increasing number of books about illustration and most get the 'balance' wrong; not this tome, it is a rather perfect guide to the multitudes of illustrators from the past 50 years.

Lovely book. Interesting and useful content for an art and design student as well as just to read. Also has a lovely texture.

this book is ideal for artists and illustrators and is excellent value for money

Very inspirational cover to cover

I was slightly surprised to find that some of the facts in the book are incorrect (after speaking with one of the artists mentioned in the book!!!) which made me doubt the authenticity of the authors comments. I bought it for research for a university essay and it proved useful for some bits but I probably won't read it again now.

My son-in law is a graphic artist and will love this book of illustrations through the years as a Christmas gift.
