This works wonders with the neighbors very aggressive fence fighting dogs who never stop barking. I love the remote option. When I hear them barking, I press the ultrasonic button, if they don't stop, I hit the audible alarm button, and they stop barking. They are learning that when the ultrasonic goes off, the next thing will be the loud sound they don't like, and it lets the neighbor know that his dogs are being annoying again, but not that he cares. I'm getting 2 more to put at the other sides of the yard!

Testing was soon accomplished by the neighbor's shepherd dog which ceased barking and ran away.Attenuation - In my case, the Bark Stop is in my yard about 25 feet away from the offending neighbor's fence, causing the ultrasonic signal to be partially attenuated. Even so, the pit bull would approach the fence, bark a few times, and stop. Prior to that, pit bull was a non-stop barker. Pit bull is learning impaired and has to re-learn (that silence stops the ultrasonic sound) every morning.DC Power - 6VDC on internal batteries, 9-10 VDC on enclosed power adapter. Given that mine is too far from the house to use shore power, it's powered by a solar panel thru a panel, 12v 12 amp lead acid battery, thru a buck converter that delivers 10.5 VDC to the Bark Stop. I was unable to find out if the Bark Stop has a voltage regulator circuit, so to play it safe, I power it up thru a buck converter (voltage regulator).The bark stop back panel is rigid semi flexible and takes some getting used to during removal and re-mounting,. Partially block the lower drip hole to prevent wasps from nesting inside.Recommendation to future buyers. Know that some dogs will not be affected by any ultrasonic sound. Follow the OEM's instruction. Changing the ultrasonic frequency may help. Again, it's inappropriate to evaluate the bark stop by the behavior of the dog. Some dogs don't respond. If you must test it, carry it around your neighborhood and test it on other neighbors' dogs.Recommendation to the OEM. Continue production of the Bark Stop. Design a new high power model (100 watts or more) to bring peace and quite to an entire neighborhood.

Had my doubts about this product and I was going to wait before reviewing the product to verify if it works. Well IT DOES WORK very well. Two small terriers next door would bark incessantly for 1-1/2 hours at a time. After one day we noticed the barking began to subside. After 3 days the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful again. I mounted it using an extendable paint stick secured to a concrete block and placed in between some Cyprus trees to make it "stealthy". The unit is about 40 feet from the front of the neighbor's house and has a "line of sight" to the front windows where the two dogs would bark.

We've had one of these for years to keep our dogs from barking (when set on bark arrest), but it also has settings to repel most animals including deer, raccons, opossum and even birds. We recently had a problem with deer eating some new plants we put in our backyard. So I bought another unit to put in motion sensor mode set to repel deer/armadillos and birds if the approached our new plants. It solved the problem immediately and now stands as a ready sentinel guarding our new plantings in our backyard.

It is okay WHEN it works. I have 2. One keeps going off all the time. It is the one I have plugged in outside. I don't know what triggers it to go off when it is quiet. The other one I have has batteries. I don't notice it going off as much. I don't know how long the batteries will last. Sometimes the one I have plugged in stops working and I have to go check it. It is plugged and and everything seems to be fine and then all of a sudden it works. I think one of mine is defective.

I am finally at peace! We have 2 neighbor dogs, labradors. One is quiet as ever, the other barks and howls everytime he's put outside. At anytime of day (sometimes before 7 am). My neighbors know he does this, he even does it if left in the house. They just don't know or don't care to fix his bad habit. So, I'm helping train him from a far. I placed the device in my upstairs window and even if he's on the other side of the house, I just use the remote. He can even hear it in his own home, I can tell because he's slowly catching on that whenever he gets crazy he gets a click. You can hear the machine click on and about 15 sec later it clicks off. It doesn't bother my cats inside their home, which I was worried about at first. It's been about 4 days and the neighborhood is much more peaceful. This is a great humane way to help train a naughty or anxiety prone dog. I'm sure he'll stop all together soon. I wish I'd had this at a previous home. We had a small dog the neighbors would put out every day, all day until late at night. The poor thing would bark from sun up to sun down. It was sad, he was just scared and lonely. This may have helped my sanity. I'd wake up angry everyday.

I have it set up in a great spot but it dont affect the dogs at all in the yard next to me in the least. You can hear it sound off but no affect.

Did not work, made some strange noise that did not sound like other ultrasonic devices by this brand. Did nothing to scare the animals, again unlike the other ultrasonic devices by the same brand. I probably just got a dud. Had to return it.

Nice looking product but functionally in the real world it doesn’t stop the incessant barking.
