This is above average in packaging and everything in the add seems to have been included.
I was putting together a hotspot for my grandson and ordered this board because I already had the case from previous projects. It was promptly shipped and arrived in a reasonable amout of time. The screws , spacers, and headers , etc. Having put together close to a dozen hotspots over the years, this was the best experience. If you are needing the aluminum case order the $45 kit from this seller as it is a good value. 3D printed cases would also work well but are also a bit bulkier than the aluminum cases. As a recent convert to the WPSD fork of Pi-Star I would suggest that you make sure you use a Pi Zero 2W with this board and the Bullseye version of the software. Also the two color OLED display is sharp and very clear.

Good Value Plug and Play Solution
This can't make it any easier. Dropped the hat on my Pi, created the WiFi boot file, enterered a frequency, my callsign, and it just works. I see no reason someone with little to no prior knowledge couldn't be up and running in under 30 minutes.

A convenient kit to get your hotspot up and running quickly.
With this kit, you're really paying for the convenience of having everything ready to use, just add an RPi 2/3/4 (The software isn't compatible with the RPi 5 yet) and you're good to go (after, of course, you configure it with your call sign, and other data). The software included on the micro SD is pi-star, and you'll probably need to update it, as it gets regular updates. There is also an alternative to pi-star called WPSD, which might be worth checking out, but the lead developer and his dev team are not friendly. This board only includes a single radio. If you're using DMR, and want to use some of the cool features that offers, you might be better off with a dual radio board. Also, if you're not using DMR, then a dual radio board will allow you to send commands to the hotspot, while it is transmitting. I recommend you configure your hotspot to use 70cm, and I also recommend you make it use a normal repeater split, so you don't have to do any silly programming of your radio (many people say to configure it as a repeater, with an offset of zero...this is silly....just give it a normal 5mhz repeater split). If you want to save some money, then just buy the hat, and download pi-star/wpsd yourself, but if you want convenience, then this is what you want.
