Forney 42302 Flux Core Mig Wire, Red

Good Product!

In my Lincoln flux core, wire welder I have always (for the last 15 years) used Lincoln wire. Not any more. I use this welder for gate/panel and implement repairs around the farm. I have other (gas) welders in my shop. I saw a comparison between 5 or so different brands of flux cored wire on YT. The forney wire surpassed all others, including my favorite, Lincoln. You could hear the difference in the weld on YT and the reviewer stated "it welded much smoother". He was not wrong! I also noticed that because it welds smoother and with less splatter, the flux actually covers the entire weld bead and comes off in large pieces easily like it should. One thing to note; if you're using an AC flux core welder, the smoothness will not be as noticeable. Mine is DC.
