You will need to remove the plastic film from each paddle before the game. This film keeps the rubber tacky and elastic before the first use, prevents stickiness.
Since the rubber surface is made from a natural material, sometimes it collects a little bit of dust in a dusty environment.

This is not the paddles' or rubber defect. The dust will go away after several rounds of play.
