Dupli-ColorERGA10100 Black Rocker Guard Coating

Not too shavy. I originally wanted Rock guard or chip guard whatever from Sem Products (who BTW makes excellent supplies) but went with this instead because of price. I was kinda on a limb to begin with since I wanted to delete all chrome on my first gen Tundra. Sanded, scuffed,cleaned,self etch primer, then sprayed this. It came out flawless. I love the durability and perfect texture. Going to be spraying rockers and front bumper skirt next. So we'll see cuz you know how chrome is. But all in all well worth the high dollar spray can. Maybe a couple pointers are: try warming up the can for a Lil bit before spraying ( I left mine out in the sun for like 3 hours) or try putting the can in hot water. And yes shake the damn can as much as you can. And then.........shake it some more. You really can't shake this stuff up enough. I did what is called a "wet on wet" with my clear works great

Great product. Perfectly finished my rocker panel repair. After bondo and sanding, spraying this coating on in 3 applications made for a durable perfect finish. 1 can was enough for both sides of vehicle.

Easy way to add protective texture to your rockers. It sprays well and covers well.

Dupli color rock guard went on easy and adhered well to vehicle’s surface. Had to apply several thin coats to avoid dips lines and achieve factory textured finish.

The product lay down ok but the nozzle is a piece of garbage. It clogs half way through the job.Luckily I had 2 cans and only needed one but both had the same behavior. They work just fine until they stop. I tried to go with short stroke and shake and cleaning in between. Long stroke and it would work fine then you trigger again and nothing happens.Pass your way granted the number of people that had the same issue. Totally unpredictable and makes trash job due to spurting.

The product might be good but nozzle clogged during spraying. I couldn’t finish the job because of a clog and lacquer thinner wouldn’t unclog then nozzle. Expensive failure.

Tested painting the rockers on my Colorado with plasti dip....... liked it so much I chose to make it permanent. Two coats of Rocker Guard did the trick, covers well texture is good and it dries quickly. Use good quality masking tape and use light coats of paint till you get the coverage desired as it will run if you are careless.

I spend an entire evening prepping, masking and applying this to my vehicle. I took it to the car wash a few days after it had time to dry and a huge chunk of what I painted came off in motile pieces. Ever since then (I redid the area where it came off) I have to re apply it every few weeks since it will not stay on. Don’t buy this one for your car. Get anything else.
