The Dark Wild: Book 2 (The Last Wild Trilogy) Hardcover – 27 Mar. 2014

I love this series. I'm a school librarian and teacher so I read lots of children's book. This book should be read by adults and children a like as it has a message running through it about what we are doing to our. planet. I think the way it is written is very clever; from the point of view of a child and the animals he rescues. It is extremely poinient and I felt myself caring for the animals and feeling quite emotional when any were lost. I would say this is a book that is aimed at upper ks2 to read independently or younger if being read to. I enjoyed this slightly more than the first book as the place was quicker. I've started book three already I'm engaged.Highly recommend.

Just finished the second novel and am loving the trilogy...I'm a girl of 13 whose mum got me the first of the 3 books about a week ago and I have already finished the second. I love the series! I love the way it expresses the points of view of animals and how they try to solve the problems they have, caused by humans, some using the help of a boy while others believe they can do it on their own. I am a nature lover and you don't know how much I would love to be able to talk to animals! My favourite of the two I've read so far is the second because of the Iris Capsule. It's a book loaded with adventure and I simply couldn't put it down.

Book 2 is everything it should be.It follows on from The Last Wild superbly, and let’s us continue Kester’s journey.If anything, I enjoyed this book slightly more.If you enjoyed the first one, you definitely need to read this!

Ich bin kein Kind, lese aber eigentlich am liebsten Kinder-und Jugendbücher.Den ersten Band des Buches habe ich in einer Buchhandlung entdeckt und musste deswegen den zweiten direkt hinterherbestellen. Wer den ersten gelesen hat, sollte auf jeden Fall auch beim zweiten nicht Halt machen. Nur die weiße Taube fehlt ein wenig :)Für die Eltern: Ein wirklich tolles Buch, das zwar auch an manchen Stellen den Zeigefinger hebt, aber dies wirklich nur in einem Kontext tut, der sich auch auf unsere Welt übertragen lässt (Klimawandel etc.)Sehr empfehlenswert.

Great series book for kids 3rd grade and up.

Great story. My 10 year old daughter loved this and continued to read the rest of the trilogy.
