Pilates has long been the optimum workout for strengthening core muscles and improving balance, posture and coordination. It conditions the whole body to become stronger and more controlled, and also really tones up the abdominal muscles which are intrinsically linked to the pelvic floor. For this reason it makes sense to combine Pilates with pelvic floor exercises. Dr Bruce Crawford, gynaecologist and pelvic floor expert, created Pfilates as a gentle but effective exercise programme for women who need to tone up their pelvic floor after childbirth or surgery. He developed 10 key movements which engage the pelvic floor and which go through a series of repetitions, holds and pulses. There are three individual workouts of varying intensities included on this DVD so you can gradually increase the difficulty level over time as your strength and stamina improves. Included in this kit along with the DVD is a pictorial guide to show you exactly how to do each movement and an exercise ball for the repetitions where resistance exercise is key.

Well worth the money
This physical therapy has helped me immensely! I’ve struggled with moderate prolapse and mild incontinence since the birth of my child seven years ago. After my last excruciating smear test, all of these symptoms worsened to the extent that I was considering consulting a specialist about possible surgical solutions. These exercises have reversed my condition to the extent that I believe in a few more weeks I might be completely healed. I was diligent with my kegel exercises before trying this dvd. Since trying pfilates, my quality of life has improved... without exaggeration.

Four Stars
An easy to follow short routine, her voice is a bit monotonous.

Poor value for money
I expected more for the price of this product. The ball is very poor quality and the DVD is dated. The three phases or exercise are the same just more reps each time. I bought this product to help with my pelvic floor after the delivery of my son via forceps and feel that due to poor value for money you could get the same results following advice from the NHS.

Absolute rubbish
This video I hoped would be the answer to my problems. I can't do standard Kegels because they cause more problems and so was delighted when I though I had found a good alternative. Could not have been more wrong. There is no preamble or introduction to this dvd, or explanation as the exercise goes on. Just a dippy girl sitting crossed leg with a lot of airy fairy music going on in the background, while she performs the moves. She does add dialogue, in a really sultry and annoying way and there are screen flashes that tell you how many reps etc.The philosophy for this dvd maybe sound, as are pilates moves, but this very silly dvd is not going to do anything for the producers or the poor deluded women like myself, who hoped it would give them some real help. These are serious problems that cause all sorts of discomfort and need to be addressed in a more structured and formal manner with somebody showing the moves, while somebody stands to one side, explaining 'slowly' how and why.Get it right or remove it.

Pfilates works
Pfilates arrived in super quick time. I love this program. Out of all the pilates programs I have followed this is far the best.
