Review: New photographer, meets powerhouse! - While not exactly new to photography, I would say i definitely would be classed as an enthusiast who likes plenty of features to learn when it comes to tech, simple basic features just seem un creative and restrictive when it comes to cameras for me. When choosing the S5ii I knew I was getting probably the best camera that I have ever had, but didn't know just how good it is! Firstly the feature stack in the menus are plentiful, all present and correct.. all the options you would come to expect with some you wouldn't expect, coming from a professional sense, i think if you didn't choose this camera it wouldn't be because of the camera but because you needed a specific funtion that it didn't provide.. both the video and picture to me are Excellent! especially the video, which comes with some serious options, such as v-log and customisable LUTS that can also be downloaded to the camera it's self via the lumix lab app.. also 6k/4k recording options, perfect for recording in 6k to crop later, to keep the sharpest res.. Ofcourse I am going to be amazed! i an a amateur enthusiast afterall but seriously check this perfect hybrid camera out.. whether taking photos or videos, it does both with great colours, features and makes them look professional! There maybe cameras with specific features people may need but for me, features, quality, ease of use, great L-series prime lenses, i am in love with the S5ii, my friends and family have commented how amazing my pictures and video look.. my go to camera!
Review: For Photography (student/amateur) POV - So far I have only had a few tests shoots with this camera. I bought this camera for photography mainly. Not really a videographer but will soon in the future like to learn so it’s nice that I already got a kit ready for videography. So far what I see with this camera for photography is amazing, phenomenal and fantastic!! The autofocus and face/animal detection is amazing. It performs beautifully in any kinds of lighting. Lowlight photography is just amazing, you can use a high ISO and there is hardly no noice. It’s just amazing camera overall. I used to have a Nikon D7500 and this camera is just the best upgrade decision I have ever made. So anyone thinking of upgrading from Nikon D7*** series or D3*** the Lumix S5 ii is the one to go for. This camera has made me feel that I am doing and learning photography for the first time again. It’s refreshing and inspiring!!
